Technically 5+6 weeks with our viability scan next Thursday. We are due to travel o Dubai on holiday for one week the following Friday (if I’m well) and would be 8 weeks. I wasn’t worried because flying in early pregnancy is allowed but coronovirus... what would you all do?!!?

I wouldn't, my husband just returned from Dubai and I held my breath till he came back, not because he will get the virus, it's in UAE not Dubai itself but with flights being cancelled left and right I didn't want him stuck there.
Best to stay put wherever you are now or escape to where you want to be till all this blows over.
Hi amanac. I do know that more and more flights are being cancelled to the Middle East to try and stop the spread. I would take any advice when you go for your viability scan and whichever company you plan to travel with. Personally I wouldn't go. Hope all goes well with your scan tomorrow. Diane
Thanks Diane. Appreciate your reply, for sure will seek some further advice xx
Hi Amanda! I echo Alidees and Diane’s comments, personally I wouldn’t go. It’s a long haul flight and even though should be fine flying I wouldn’t risk it- then the coronavirus on top, for me it’s a no no.
And Dubai is amazing so I know it’s a difficult decision! But our health comes first ❤️Dubai is not going anywhere 😉💋💋💋💋💋💋💋good luck for your scan!!!! ✨✨✨✨✨✨🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀
I've had the same deliberation - for Dubai too! The difference is that I am due to fly tomorrow night and back on Monday. I've been keeping a very close eye on developments. At the moment there are only 27 cases in all of UAE and 84 in the UK. I know the biggest risk is travel and airports, but we've decided to go.
I spoke with my Consultant and she was happy - I only had a fresh transfer on Monday so still in my 2ww.
Its so difficult because I just want to lock myself away from this virus - but the truth is we could get it here in the UK and thats more likely than Dubai.
I would keep an eye on whats happening and the number of cases and make your decision. I probably think if I was in your position I would be more reluctant as the number of cases increases every day....
I'll feedback on any additional screening measures they may have.
Thank you so much HemBella!! Bless you a deliberation, but hopefully worth it and the holiday (if it is one!) will be much needed in the 2ww. Thanks for keeping me posted I appreciate it, and fingers crossed for your fresh transfer xx
Thank you, and yes it is a mini holiday. I was supposed to be having a frozen transfer hence the holiday so we could have a little break after a long protocol. But (un)fortunately out of 10 mature eggs I only had one fertilise and it developed into an embryo which I had transferred on day 3.
Hehe well sometimes things don’t always go to plan but it’s great you have a little embryo on board and fingers crossed from here. The mini break will be great timing xx
Hi hon, I was exactly 8 weeks when I travelled to Dubai on holiday - all was fine. Please buy some flight socks and wear them throughout your flight. Make sure you stay well hydrated and walk around regularly. You’ll be fine, enjoy xx
Also Research out todayWHO if you are pregnant and are in contact with the virus your own body will produce natural immunity to fight the virus so the baby is perfectly safe because through the placenta the baby will receive stronger immunity so it’s well protected and safe xx
Don’t know what you’ve decided to do but I’ve just got back from my trip to Dubai and it was amazing.
Honestly everything is clean and spotless. People are high on hygiene and very alert with regards to the Corona virus. The airport is spotless and disinfected regularly.
I’m not surprised it’s one of the lower number of incidences of corona virus. We are worse here in the UK
Yes Iran has a big breakout and it’s nearby but they’ve closed the borders to Iran and China. It’s like saying we are close to France and Italy so dangerous.
Take the advice of your healthcare experts first and foremost. But from first hand experience I would say there’s little to worry about from a corona virus perspective. Xx
I’m doing ok with my tww, thanks for asking. I think having a holiday was a good distraction! Been some cramps and sore boobs but I’m blaming everything on the progesterone. Don’t want to get too hopeful but harder nearer the date doesn’t it? 😂
Let me know what you decide and any advice you receive. I’m due to travel to Australia in a few weeks and will be 20 weeks when due to travel. I see the consultant the week before for sign off. I’m MOH at my sisters wedding in Sydney so a lot to consider.
Thanks lovely I have done is reassuring but I just don’t know as there’s nothing either way really! Oh goodness that a tough decision for you. I have all my fingers crossed you can go and you will get the sign off xx
