4 out of 5 have fertilised πŸ₯šπŸ‘ΌπŸΌπŸ™πŸΌ

So out of my 6 eggs, 5 were mature to be injected and today 4 have fertilised. She said it’s a good % rate as normally 65% fertilise so we are just above.

I’ve got to start my pessaries tomorrow and just wait until Friday for a call πŸ“ž.

I just want them all home where I can see them πŸ₯šπŸ‘ΌπŸΌπŸ₯šπŸ‘ΌπŸΌπŸ₯šπŸ‘ΌπŸΌπŸ₯šπŸ‘ΌπŸΌ.

I slept like a baby last night and so far so good after EC- slight spotting but no major pain.

I suppose il have to go back to work tomorrow πŸ˜”. I need the distraction I think.

If we make it to transfer on Saturday, I will rest for the remaining of the weekend and then go into work as normal.

My boss said let her know as others have had 2 weeks off for treatment. Whereas my clinic said go about your everyday business.

I really don’t know what to do. I think yesterday was a wake up call to how quickly you can be brought back down to earth and feel so worried and upset. I was punishing myself for not having many eggs. So if I went to work and it didn’t work would I forgive myself? I just don’t know.

Should I just take the first week off?

Should I just go in and ask to do light duties- hard as I am a teacher ?

Should I just try?

Thank you to everyone that calmed me down yesterday. I appreciate more that you know- your positive words really did bring me up.

Today I just have to feel grateful. Grateful that we were able to get 4 eggs to fertilise with our own eggs and sperm. πŸ₯°

Oh great news! Its horrible waiting on those updates, the nerves are awful! For me, I feel better being at work or at least having people around for distraction which I wouldnt have if Im at home. The 2ww drives you crazy when you have too much time on your hands so if you have someone to spend time with and go out for walks and sit in cafes then take the time but if not I'd go back to work....so long as you dont do anything crazy like a PE teacher! Good luck.xx

I have plenty of things to keep me occupied, I’ve got two dogs that love walks and I spend a lot of time with my grandparents but I just don’t know . My class have behaviour difficulties and that’s what worries me. X

Yes I think I will. I will have a word with my boss when I go back in and ask what I need to do. I may have to go the doctors for a note. I will work from home but I just want to have no regrets x

Good luck! πŸ€žπŸΌπŸ€πŸπŸ€žπŸΌπŸ€πŸ xxx

Good news that is! Very well done.

I think everyone is different regarding taking days off. I always thought i dont need the two weeks but my boss actually insisted bcz she said i didnt take much sickleave anyway in last two years and she said just switch off. Im in my Tww but i needed the days the hardest after EC as i felt not very well. After transfer i could have gone back after two days but these days are emotionally heavy as u keep counting the days. I would say i am glad i took the rest and the relaxing on the couch. Tomorrow back to work :). Praying for all xxx

Thank you. I think I’m going to take some time away. Again I underestimated how much it effects you mentally let alone physically.

When is you test day? Are you ready to return? X

Good for you.

I really hope it’s positive.

I will- I will stop thinking of letting people down at work and think of us.

I’ve put my career before everything before now- it’s our time x

Yayyyyy 4 fertilised. Great news!!! Completely up to you whether you want to work or not. I find some days harder than others, and I have found this IVF process more difficult as the rounds go on. This round I am taking most of the 2ww off. I don't think work has an impact either way (unless it's a physical or dangerous job) but I am just not in the right headspace (or feeling physically great) to want to work this 2ww. I am taking half sick/half holiday. It's really not necessary, but I'm just emotionally and physically exhausted from all this!

Wonderful news that 4 have fertilised!! πŸŽ‰πŸ’•

Re. Taking time off, as others have said I think it varies from person to person, and also cycle to cycle. I’m the same as ttcemmie- finding it harder as the rounds go on & struggling to concentrate at work! πŸ˜‚πŸ€¦πŸ½β€β™€οΈ But re. Actually working I don’t think it makes any difference - if you need a distraction go to work, if you don’t & you know you won’t be able to focus, don’t go to work. I don’t think you’ll do any harm whatever option you choose.

Congratulations again on your 4 fertilised eggs! Let us know how you get on in the next few days πŸ˜˜πŸ’πŸŒˆ xx

That's such great news!! I am really pleased for you, it's really great. I honestly don't think I can give you any advice that would help, but I am routing for you and the one thing I know I would be forcing myself to do if I am lucky enough to get to where you are is rest. I am terrible at taking time off and doing nothing, but I know it's the one time that it's the best thing you can do for the little one. Take care of yourself, sending all the best luck and wishes in the world x
