Prostap injection for Endo

Hi everyone. I haven’t posted in a while after my last cycle ended with ectopic. I want to prepare for another round. Will be a FET this time.

My gynaecologist diagnosed me with high grade Endometriosis and adenomyosis and recommend prostap 3 months prior to any transfers.

My Ivf clinic are saying it makes no difference and I don’t need to take it. They have said they will down regulate at beginning of the transfer cycle.

I’m confused as I’m being told two different things. Has anyone got any experience with this. Any information is greatly appreciated.

I’ve got stage 4 endo and small traces of adenomyosis. I would go with the prostap for 3 months. My clinic have recommended exactly the same to me. I’ve just had egg collection and any embryos will be frozen and il be put on prostap for about 3 months and then they will transfer. It’s better for us with endo as it means the womb and endo is at its most minimal. I didn’t down regulate on my last ivf and I was in so much pain and it failed. It’s a pain in the ass having to wait longer but I would rather wait longer and have a better outcome.xxxx
