Having blockage removed and trying to lose weight, which comes first?

Hi I'm currently trying to lose weight to fit the NHS requirement while at the same time I'm fiddling with the idea of taking or postponing surgery on a blockage in my Fallopian tube. Should I go ahead with removing the blockage? Surgery might mean me binge eating and forgetting any diet or exercise. Oh the pains of trying to get pregnant when you can't. What do you think ladies? Go ahead with surgery?

It is a difficult decision. I would try to do both at the same time and if I had to choose I’d have the blockage removed first as once that is done you might be able to conceive naturally and might not need further assistance from the NHS.

I also had to lose weight. I knew that I often eat rubbish when I’m stressed so I tried to reduce my stress. Also every time my hand went for a biscuit or chocolate or crisps (or anything really as I love food) I asked myself do I really need this? Can I do something else that leads me closer to my goals? That helped me to at least reduce some of the rubbish. And it is about also being compassionate towards yourself and realise that sometimes you do indeed need the chocolate.

Good luck with everything whatever choice you make!

Hi EdwardsSarah. I would definitely get the Fallopian tube dealt with,as soon as you can, especially if key hole surgery. I'm sure you can deal with losing some weight too. Good luck! Diane
