Anyone experience mmc but go on to get a bfp in subsequent cycle?

I know everyone is different but here goes...

1st cycle FET 4AB embryo bfn

2nd cycle fresh 4AB embryo bfp but mmc at 9 weeks. Full Trisomy 9 which is apparently rare. She was a girl 😢 💔.

Just started cycle 3 weds. Im absolutely terrified of getting no embryos, of another BFN or mmc again.

Anyone else had mmc but go on to get another bfp and go full term? Absolutely terrified of what I'm going through and what may happen again.

I'm now 39 and although we have male factor due to poor sperm I'm scared my eggs are too old. Even though I can get loads of eggs, barely any survive beyond fertilisation. I've been on every single supplement for an eternity. Scared of losing another baby or getting another BFN.

Current anxiety levels through the roof.

All replies massively appreciated x

In short yes. I had two bfps one after the other. My first was a mmc at 8 and a half weeks. Unfortunately the second was also a mmc at 10 weeks. However mine wasn’t a chromosomal problem. I had lupus anticoagulant (aps) blood clotting disorder and didn’t realise. Although my embies/babies had been perfectly normal my blood had clotted abnormally causing their deaths. I’m so sorry for your loss.

It is absolutely possible to still get your rainbow baby. I got mine at 39. I’ll be 40 in April xx

Thank you for your reply. I've been highly emotional since starting my final cycle this week. I'm soooo scared of everything. Scared of new meds, scared of getting no embryos, worse quality embryos, scared of bfns or mmc or another trisomy. Such a gruelling journey. Such an isolating thing. Sorry for your losses 🤗 xx

Yes I did. I got a BFP first round but MMC then FET had BFP and got a nearly two year old x

Yes I had a mmc at 13 weeks from my fresh cycle, I had a mc from my 1st FET at 6 weeks but I'm now 30 weeks from my 2nd FET. I'm 39 too and didn't think I'd get another BFP but it can happen. Good luck! Xx

Thank you so much. Got BFN from fet but bfp from fresh. This gives me hope I won't have another mmc x

Hey, just wanted to wish you lots of luck - I totally understand how you feel. My 1st cycle was a FET and a BFN, 2nd was a fresh cycle and I got a BFP with twins but had a MMC and have found out that one of the babies had Trisomy 9. I’ve been told the chances of it happening again are 1%. We’re trying to do a FET but I’ve had 2 cancelled due to poor lining and I’m petrified of going again. I’m 42 but still trying to hold onto hope. There are lots of positive stories out there which I’m trying to hold onto as well xx

I did a fresh cycle when I was 34 that resulted in my now 4-year-old daughter and eight frozen embryos. First FET was BFN due to a hydrosalpynx. Had surgery for that and got BFP the next cycle that ended in miscarriage at 6 weeks. Next FET was BFP and had a MMC at 11 weeks (she was measuring on track, but no heartbeat so they just coincidentally caught it at my first OB appointment). Baby was genetically normal, so no explanation.

I’m currently 12w2d from the fourth FET, so far so good. I had a pretty large SCH with the one I lost at 11 weeks, and nothing like that this time so I’m hoping this is finally it.

Hiya, I had a missed miscarriage in 2016 and had my son via IVF last year and I’m now 20 weeks pregnant. I know it’s hard to think about it but just because it’s happened once it doesn’t mean it’s going to happen again. Keep strong and keep positive xxxxxxxxxx

Thank you for your reply. It feels like I'm just never going to be a mum. Harder still knowing that my partner is the cause of our infertility as horrible as that sounds. Terrified of it happening again. Thanks for your encouraging words xxx
