So I’m supposed to start my round two on tuesday (my tablets start then) since my round one no one called me etc I had to call to see what was happening, when I went for my follow up he said he would up my meriofert from 300mg to 400 and take me off cyclogest and put me on lubion. However when my drug supplier called, the prescription was just a repeat of round 1... I queried this and called the hospital to be told my dr has decided not to change anything? This is without any consultation or reason? I think they have messed up as I still haven’t even received my drugs (they are not getting delivered until Monday) and I start Tuesday! What should I do just go ahead on my round 1 meds or should I refuse? Can I refuse? I feel like what’s the point in repeating something that failed for me the first time. I feel so unsupported and just ‘left’ Any advice would be appreciated xxx

Hi Abbywithag. This sounds very stressful 😓 Sometimes consultants just seem to forget about bedside manner 😡 I wouldn't be happy with the consultant reverting to the previous (presumably unsuccessful?) protocol without any explanation! I'd call them tomorrow and ask what the justification is for this xx
I called and asked her she basically just said he’s decided not to and she doesn’t know why? And I will receive my drugs Monday. They’ve left it til so late too, I have an apt when the drugs are being delivered and have no choice to get them delivered then as they have no slots beforehand and I need them for Tuesday. This time round they have been so slow I feel like I’ve done all the work. I just don’t know why I would go through the same routine again as it failed miserably ! Xxx
This does not sound like good treatment from your clinic! Surely you had an appointment where they went over the treatment plan... they can't just change it without consulting you! This is really stressful! Sorry to hear about this. Especially as you are wanting to start on your next cycle, which is so soon! I would call the clinic and say you want to be on the plan that you agreed. Your clinic will most probably have spare drugs at the clinic (I know mine does) and should be able to give you some to tide you over for a few days or a week or whatever until you can get a new prescription of drugs. I would not accept this from them!
