Help please with progestone

Hello lovely ladies, can anyone help me I had a chemical at the end of December, I was taking Lubion 1 a day , but I have read so much on here about levels being right

I done fet , but they never tested my progestone, the consultant said next time he would give me 1 Lubion and add to cyclogest , but he said I don't need to check bloods is this right, or should I check them myself, 😘😘😘

I've never had mine tested and have been given lubion and cyclogest on my last 2 cycles x the lubion was added as extra support

I'm on cyclogest & lubion these day. Cyclogest wasnt enough for me. Everyone is different and the levels need to be ok around transfer time. You can perhaps up your dose by yourself but there is no way of knowing unless you have a blood test done. Good luck.xx

Thanks , I have just spoke to the nurse at the Clinc and she seems to think when u have a fet , the levels r not that important because they r controlling you .

But this doesn't seem right,

I said l will get the checked myself but when do I need to get them done .

Hopefully be starting again in about 1 months time , just waiting for my first proper period, then I have to wait 21 days till I can start xx

No that's not right, I promise! Get them done the day before transfer is same day If you can get the results back quickly to adjust your meds. Your levels need to be at least 20ng/ml or over 60nmol/l. Xxx

Thank you for your help , sometimes I feel like I am going nuts , I keep reading different things, then I ring the Clinc and I feel stupid, like I have no idea ,

So I get them done as close to the times as possible, it's probably going to be the day before, as I live in Essex and the Clinc is 150 miles away,

Can the levels change from the day before till the transfer day?

It can change a bit for sure!! The clinics make you feel daft, honestly you'll get good advice here! Hang on in there!!xx

Oh thank you so much, I going to get it tested for sure , would you recommend I test them on day 21 of my cycle, then day before I have the embryos put back in , ?

I have no idea as the Clinc don't think it's necessary. Xxxx

Hello again, I have found when I got my levels tested myself back in the summer and it was 39mnol , so that is low right, because it needs to be 60 is that right,

I think I might ask them to do 2 Lubion injections , actually I will insist, ?

I just don't want to do the same as last time because what's the point . I

Don't want another chemical, I don't think I could take it , so sole destroying isn't it , and I am not the strongest person.

Your natural progesterone levels are fine as this is anything over 30nmol/l shows ovulation. However the you are doing IVF it needs to be higher as this is medicated so you'd need to have the test ideally the day before transfer, this is when your be looking for it to be over the 60nmol/l. Hope that makes sense. I'm on 2x 400mg of cyclogest pessaries and 1 lubion every 2nd day....the lubion was given to me to top up as my levels were too low. But this had day levels ok. Sometimes a mixture of meds, putting them into your bodyb2 different methods works pretty well. Good luck.xx

Thank you, really appreciate it....I'd be so lost without the support I get here!! We have transferred 7 times so far. I chemical pregnancy and an early spontaneous miscarriage.. .all the rest were BFN.😣xxx

We had NHS attempts which I'm very grateful and jow private so not all at the same clinic. Will just have to see what fate lies ahead for us!!xx
