Had my scan this morning before i do a FET and my doctor said i have fluid in uterine cavity. Its a first time for me. Im waiting for my clinic to advise if we are to cancel. Never an easy day in this journey

Anyone had this? Could it clear up?

So sad and frustrated 😭😞😞

Unfortunately when this happened to me we did have to cancel the cycle, think of it this way though, while frustrating you want to put your embryo back into the best possible environment to have the best possible chance of implantation. We abandoned and the next cycle the fluid didn’t reappear and that was my successful one so it was a set back but it only delayed things by a few weeks x

Thanks for replying. Its the very first time ever my lining got to 1.1 usually im always very thin. I started raspberry leaf tea and flaxseed this month.... Im worried they had a negative impact 😞

Honestly I don’t think it will be for that, for me I’d over responded to the estrogen as they’d upped my dose to increase my lining - I had so much cervical mucus (yuk) it was ridiculous. We ended up switching to a natural FET for my next cycle which was so much better for me and my lining does a lot better with my own natural estrogen instead of synthetic through a medicated FET. Something to consider?

Im on a natural cycle too. I got loads of discharge this month very unusual for me.

Its such a downer when a cycle gets cancelled.

I had a complete failed cycle with a pgs tested embryo 2 nonths ago ... Was finally feeling better we were going to start again.

I’m sorry lovely it is such a rough journey. You’ll get there in the end I promise, I’m 23 weeks now after 6 attempts (3 transfers and 3 abandoned cycles) it was a slog but it’s all worth it now. I genuinely believe with IVF if you keep persevering it will happen. Stay strong

What day of your cycle are you? I had fluid at the start of one of my cycle, think I was scanned on day 2 but this disappeared. Good luck, I hope they let you continue.xx

No, you're absolutely right....never a dull moment but not in a good way either! How frustrating that you have a good thickness but there is fluid! I have a very awkward body too so I can feel your frustration. Hang on in there and see what the Dr says.xx

I just hope this was a one off problem and things will correct themselves next month ❤️❤️❤️❤️

The clinic has given me some medicine to take over the weekend. They want me to get a scan monday. So maybe there might still be a chance I do the transfer. So unsure if i should just cancel or go ahead with their advise

Well I think go with the advice, they should know best....I would hope! Im sure they wont do anything to risk putting an embryo back when the environment isnt right. Im guessing if it resolves the fluid then its fine and if not then cancel. Good luck, I hope whatever they have given you helps.xx

How did they know there’s fluid in the cavity? My dr said that that’s why they cancel if someone has hydrosalpinx. Because they won’t see if there’s fluid bc the endometrial absorbs the fluids and they can’t tell whether fluid is there or not so that’s why they usual cancel until it’s taken care of

The fluid was seen on scan as per picture . Its the black filled area. I never hadvit before. And im 100%sure i dont have hydrosalpinx as i did an hsg a month ago.

Some people react to oestrogen this way. And then progesterone helps to clear it up. Also heard drinking lots of water helps. Had this very recently 🤦🏽‍♀️

Hope you have better news on Monday

Sorry to jump on your post, but my day 13 scan today showed fluid which has worried me. This is my second fet and they've said it may need to be cancelled if it doesn't go. Do you mind sharing what happened in your case?

X
