Hi there,

I have been prescribed the following:

- uterogestan: 4 pessaries daily - 2 morning, 2 night

- Lubion 25mg injections: daily at night

- Oestradiol 2mg: 3 per day

I just wondered if anyone else has had this amount? It's more than I was expecting and I have read that it can be too much?! Just curious to see.

Thanks in advance!

Linda

You havent said what dose of utrogestan you will be on. It doesnt sound too much .....on our last cycle we added more as I had a history of a low level which probably caused a miscarriage. I will be on 800mg of cyclogest pessaries (1x400mg morning and night) and an injection every second day.xx

Good point, it's the same as you, 800mg. Thanks for sharing your info. I've just been reading about progesterone often being too low so hopefully this is right. Ugh, it's all just stressful! Thanks for responding x

We all absorb meds differently but sounds like you have it covered....not far off mine. You can have your levels tested day of transfer if your clinic will allow you? The progynova just stays the same as you were on for prep.xx

Hi Linda,

My medication varied on different cycles but I’d say that’s pretty normal so wouldn’t worry.

The closest I had to yours was 3 x pessaries, 2 x lubion & 3 x progynova.

Good luck! Xx

Hi Linda. Trust your clinic. They will only prescribe what they feel is the correct doses for "you". Just wanted to wish you well with it all, and of course for success. Diane

It’s right to question everything, especially since there is a one box fits all approach in most clinics. Ask what your bloods say, do research and trust your knowledge of your own body xx I made my clinic do extra bloods to prove they weren’t over medicating for the sake of over medicating. My progesterone was high enough it turned out and I didn’t need the meds. I’m glad I questioned it, as I don’t believe in over medicating as you can guess.
