I had my egg collection yesterday for IVM and I’m in the waiting game.

I just wondered, are 3 day transfers typically successful?

We’re not sure how my little embryos are going to fair but I thought if they make it to day three - is that ok? Do they have chance?

Currently 4 have fertilised normally. They are giving the others until this evening and will keep a check on them every couple of hours.

This is so scary guys!

Xx

Yes, they are successful, I'm not sure of the statistics but they can definitely develop in to healthy pregnancy/baby. You would absolutely would have a chance with a 3 day transfer.

Hoping all goes well over night.

Thank you, I had quite a few eggs retrieved but they have to wait for them to mature before they can fertilise them so they are at different stages.

Two yesterday and two today so will know more by the morning.

I will keep my fingers crossed every night xx

I only had 3 fertilise and had 2 clear leaders on day 2, so had a day 2 transfer and got my bfp. My clinic preferred doing transfers the earlier the better, back in their natural environment. If you have lots to choose from though then they would wait to day 5 to choose the very best ones x

Thanks for that, it’s reassuring. I had IVM instead of IVF, and they mature at different stages so I’m just thinking how will they know who or which are ready but - they are the experts.

After collection I had two mature eggs they could fertilise there and then they had to wait for the others to inject them and today is decision day.

It’s day 3 for two of them so I guess they’re waiting to see how the others get on and I’ll know sometime today. I kind of want them back now - in their own environment as you say.

Fingers crossed again last night, praying for them to make it until transfer.

Xx
