Hi is there anyone out there that can... - Fertility Network UK
Hi is there anyone out there that can give me there success stories with secondary infertility and ICSI??
Hi Eram. Oh it can definitely happen! I have many albums of babies (success stories) with lots who have been born following secondary infertility using IVF/ICSI. ICSI is a more direct process, so fingers crossed all ends well for you. Diane
Awww thank you I just don’t see much on here with secondary infertility..
Hello, I had a daughter naturally at 27 yrs old then could not get pregnant 10 years later with different partner. We tried for just over a year but due to my age decided to go IVF.
They recommended ICSI for higher change.
We had 8 eggs I think and 4 IVF(just left to own devises) and 4 ICSI (forced together)
Out of the 4 ICSI ones all were successful. None of the others were. I always say my partner and I not really compatible ha ha.
2 xICSI fertilised eggs put back in and just like that I got pregnant with a single pregnancy and had a beautiful (but small 5 wks early) but totally healthy ,didn't even need neonatal, daughter. She's now 2 years old.
ICSI all the way🙌All the best to you. Sure it will work for you too xxxxxx
Awww that’s so positive! Did u or partner have any fertility issues? How old was u when u had ur baby It’s so nice reading these stories exactly what I need as I start in 2 weeks... we are trying everyday lol giving it our best chance this final cycle xx
It was primary infertility not secondary (endo and motility) but we conceived on our first ICSI cycle. She's six months old now It can definitely happen, try and stay positive. Best of luck!
thank you 😊 these stories have definitely made me feel better and more positive thank you for sharing xx
Initially we were told we need ICSI cos of the male factor and nothing wrong with me, except that my age isn't on our advantage as by the time I started the protocol in May19, I was nearly 42 (became 42 in Jun19).
But after 2x implantation failures, I then became my own advocate following the advices on Zita West's book to push my doctor(s) to prescribe me big blood tests to check if my parameters are ok and later found out that I have an anti nuclear antibody and Hashimoto that can hinder implantation!
So then I was prescribed aspirin for the antibody and thyroid hormone for Hashi. and even Medrol just for some weeks to suppress my immune sys. and I'm now 6+2w5d pregnant with the 3rd transfer but 2nd cycle.
So I'd suggest to make a little investment and buy books of "It Starts with the Eggs" especially for the supplements tips, 2 books of Zita West about complementary therapies, diet, what tests to ask to be prescribed etc.
Good luck!
Hi thanks for the tips it’s very helpful will look in to it if I need to.
We went down the ICSI route due to Male infertility and now have a gorgeous girl who has just turned one. Wishing you so much luck xx
Thank you the stories I’m getting of this thread is giving me so much hope. Xx
