Hi ladies, I'm looking to find some success stories from women who have had partners with low sperm count and motility? There seems to be little that can be done to help with this and little of success stories? Looking for some hope... x

Look into L'Carnitine for motility. For improvement in all areas including motility try looking at Zinc, L'Arginine, Selinium, folic acid, VitaminsB12, C and E....

My OH had low volume (was around one ml, now it's about 2/3ml on average) although count was great!! However progressive motility was 4% below average. After being on a combination of supplements his SA was to within normal parameters in all areas 😊

That's great news!

I had low sperm count! I had an assay with sub-million, and I started clomid ordeal. It worked really well. I don't remember the exact numbers but it was 17+ mil, and the viability had increased drastically as well. So happy 😊 I found reliablewebs.net/go/Clomid and got clomid with coupon GET10.

Now, keep in mind that mileage will vary, and I might have gotten very lucky and/or it was the perfect remedy in my particular scenario.

Hello Tara2016

My partner has the same as yours we did actually catch naturally back in 2015 but it ended in a chemical pregnancy. we were then referred to fertility and due to me having pcos they started us on icsi, we are due for EC tuesday, I know I can't give an answer right now but I will know more next week when the embies are hopefully forming. Xxx

We got twin girls from our first round of ICSI. Doctors advised going straight to ICSI as my AMH was also low and we didn't want to miss what might have been our only chance.

Hi Kernishp

Congratulations on your twins.

If you don't mind me asking how many embryos did the put back in you? And does your partner have low sperm count and mobility? Xx

My husband had low motility and a high rate of abnormal ones. We had 7 eggs collected, 6 fertilized, 3 went to day 5, 2 were good quality so we had two embryos put back.

Wow that's amazing, did you pay for yours or NHS? As I know nhs only our one bk in if good quality xx

We paid, my husband was working overseas at the time so the NHS wasn't an option for us. With my AMH and age (34 when I got pregnant) we didn't feel like we could wait around.

Good luck. Wishing you lots of baby dust. It might be worth trying The Stork kit- it gets mixed reviews but it does work for some couples with motility issues as it helps to put the sperm in the right place!

Tara2016β€’ in reply tolovewinspain

Aww congratulations! Your story sounds very similar to mine. We hoping to do a fet in October as well. My only concern however was the quality of the embies. Our frozen embie is only a grade 4bc

Hi Tara, I didn't know the quality of embryo in the fresh cycle but they had said that it was the best embryo...in my fet one embryo degraded from 4 to 2 cells n one didn't degrade its quality n remained 4 cells...I don't know much about it but that was what they had said...I think.that 4 cells embryo got stuck n gave me happiness...so ur embryo also sounds equal quality to mine...Good luck...

My partner has very low count - out of his last sample that was tested there was only 8 sperm of which 4 were no good and as it was so low the motility couldn't even be tested (he had mumps as a child).

When we went for egg collection I had 17 eggs collected - 16 mature and 8 fertilised- we ended up with 5 eggs (1 for transfer the other 4 to freeze) - with the NHS our first cycle failed and we had an fet which also failed. went private and I was treated for NK cells and fell pregnant- I am currently 31.1 weeks pregnant.

All our embroys were rated average and above so although he didn't produce many sperm they still fertilised my eggs to high quality. We had ICSI.

I have my fingers crossed for you Hun, stay positive and it will all work out for you xxx

Congratulations hun! That's great news! Did it cost a lot to have test for NK cells? What is that exactly? Thanks for your kind words xx

Hey there, I dont have a success story as such but my husband had low count and motility, there was nothing that could be done for the count however cutting down drinking and healthy eating I think helped the motility, we had less than 1 million on the last sample but 70% motility. However the embryologist said that it doesnt really matter as when they do ICSI the work of the sperm is pretty much done. Although we didnt get a BFP, we had 6 eggs and 6 fertilised in our last cycle! Good luck!xx

Hi Tara, I haven't been on here for a while but sometimes I get an email and its nice to check back in. This forum (well all the ladies on here) gave me so much help, Hope and support.

My DH had low sperm count and motility (tried the vitamins etc but nothing worked for over 2 years)

So we ended up having Icsi, 7 embies developed, 1 put back in and we're so lucky that it worked first time round as I'm currently 36 weeks pregnant. Miracles can and do happen 😌

I still have to pinch myself and of course until baby is in my arms I'm always a little scared...

Wishing you all the luck in the world with your treatment.

My husband had this exact issue. He started taking fertilsan- m on amitamin.com and it's totally cured him. He now has a perfect count, motility etc...

He also rarely drinks now and wears looser pant. Small price to pay to fix it all 😍

Honestly. The GP couldn't even believe it, we were about to be referred. Cut out - tight pants, hot tubs baths, alcohol decrease and wait for the pulls to do their work.i now have a luteal phase defect so we are still being referred but at least one of us is perfect now!

Hello Tara2016

My partner has a really low count and we managed to improve his with diet, exercise and vitamins (Wellman Conception). It works for some but not for others but everything is worth a shot. We still struggled to conceive after the improvement so we were signed off for. IVF, but the month before we was due to start we found out we were pregnant. There is hope, so just try everything you can and try not to stress. I wish you all the best xx
