My question is really as per the heading boyfriend has low Sperm count and mobility I am age 43 now hence the need for us to do IVF, boyfriend taking tablets as do I, just wondering whether anyone had success stories of falling naturally when low count and mobility. We are trying as frankly I need to feel like I am doing something and am hoping but feeling quite despondent at the same time, using fertility monitor to track cycle so identifying peak days but would be nice to hear if anyone had any success stories of falling naturally. Think I just need a boost of positivity atm.

Low sperm count and mobility - anyone had success stories
Hey, my partner was 32 and had a low count and funny shape swimmers, we didn't fall pregnant naturally but got a bfp with our first fresh attempt, it ended in a chemical but we also we very lucky to get a bfp with our first frostie 😊❄️❤️ We used clear blue digital ovulation tests when we were trying. All the best 🍀🤞🏼💛 xxx
Thanks Holly, I had a chemical with my first fet, we were due to do another before Covid 19, so hoping we can carry on soon. Congratulations on your BFP xx
I would really recommend either Proxeed men or Impryl, made a big difference for my other half. Neither are cheap but worth it if it helps! The standard men’s fertility vitamins made no difference for us. Impryl is a bit easier as it’s a tablet rather than sachets xx
Thanks my boyfriend takes Impryl, although we have never actually had a re-test to see if made a difference but our next cycle was better although won’t know if this was reason or diet. But he is not on med diet now and due to lockdown taking full advantage of not being on it, so if it works we would know it’s due to the pills!, 😂🤦♀️🤞 xx
Hey there,
My husband had some issue with his sperm and we were advised to use Picsi. We did use this for our first IVF and pleased to say it worked and I’m currently 7 weeks. Might be worth looking into this. It apparently doesn’t increase birth rates on ICSI but there are studies advising that it decreases miscarriage due to the sperm that is picked to enter the embryo.
Good luck with your journey 🤞
Hi there, thanks I will look into this, congratulations great news, wishing you all the best for a happy and healthy pregnancy xx 👏🏻😘
Thank you and good luck with your journey x
Hi, my husband has the same very low count and swimming in the wrong direction! Didn’t fall naturally but had icsi ivf and currently cuddling my 4 month old daughter. Good luck to you on your journey X
Great news congratulations xx
Buy Proxeed Plus! Recommended by urologists and it helped us!
Thank you I will look into this 👍 xx
My OH was diagnosed with oligospermia is 2018. He made changes to his lifestyle...cut down on drinking and ate healthier. When he got tested a year later his sperm count was normal. You’ve got to remember the life cycle of sperm is 3 months and this can be affected by lots of factors.
Thank you, boyfriends did the same and we had some good fresh cycles now have 7 Frosties so will be having fet so boyfriend has relaxed his diet and everything as this was quite a stress and with lockdown don’t want to add to stress 🥺 xx
Oh and he also started taking supplements x
Hi Coral, my other half had extremely low count & mobility, he has taken Impryl now for 3 months + no alcohol (that in its self is a miracle!) , no hots baths and loose boxer shorts. I'm pleased to say his count has massively improved. Our consultant recommended that we keep track of the progress at home using ExSeed - it's an at home sperm testing kit - looks at count & motility. It's really helped us stay motivated as you can see all the hard work is actually helping and worth it. We were meant to start ICSI last month (3rd time round after M/C from fresh transfer, chemical from frozen and BFN in previous 2 rounds) but will now have to wait until the clinic re-opens so we are trying naturally in the meantime. Like you said, it just helps to feel like we're doing something x
Thanks Laura I can relate my boyfriend currently takes those supplements and last year reduced his intake massively and went on the med diet he did really well we now have 7 Frosties so will be doing fet cycles he has now relaxed his diet and everything as it was a real strain for him and put some pressure on our relationship. Don’t think men are as hardcore as us women 💪🤣 Best of luck with your next cycle and hoping it will be soon xx
Ours wasn't low sperm count but azoospermia, the first round was horrible! He didn't give up drinking alcohol, caffeine or take any supplement or change his eating habits. Wasted round of IVF. I made him change his ways, eat healthy, stop drinking, take supplements and no caffeine and definitely no underwear 😆. We now have 2 sons one fresh and other frozen transfer, his sperm 2nd round of ICSI was so much better. I think it's fair to say we need to put the ball back in there court and make sure they stick to the plan
Totally agree but i have found it hard as boyfriend has been good and taking supplements went on the med diet and greatly reduced his drinking he did this for about a year but this alongside work and the pressure of conceiving thru ivf took its toll and one day he just said he want happy having diet amongst things and so we relaxed it a little now we have Frosties so will be doing fet so this has taken pressure of him as he doesn’t have to do as much!! 🤦♀️😂 all so hard I find to try and have a family thru ivf whilst trying to keep your relationship and work and not stress all too much sometimes hey, thanks for your reply and congrats with your lovely sons xx
We tried naturally but didn't work for us. However a month before we used clear blue ovulation test kit and tried naturally..it was the closest I got to being pregnant...was charting my temp....the next month we had our fourth fresh ivf cycle and it was a BFP Good luck xxx
