Mentally drained 😞

After getting a great HCG a week ago at OTD, I continued to bleed every day. I asked the clinic to test this again Monday as I was really worried about the bleeding and again my HCG was great and had more than doubled. Yesterday the bleeding got much worse soaking through 4 pads In an hour losing clots, so I called 111 and due to me having an issue with my blood clotting, they sent an ambulance (I really didn’t think this was necessary). I was taken to the EPU who checked me over and said they can’t tell if I’m miscarrying or it’s a threatened miscarriage as my cervix is still closed. I just want to know either way but I’ve got to wait until Monday for a scan 😩I had lots of pain with my previous MC’s, but just a few cramps so I’m really confused? Has anyone else had a threatened MC? Xx

Im so sorry you are going through this, its rotten. Just want to encourage you, heavy bleeding and successful pregnancies are not uncommon. Esp after ivf. So many women have cervical or sch bleeds which eventually stop. With no harm to embies. Hoping all goes well for you.

Hi Clover. So sorry to hear this and I really hope it all works out. This weekend is going to be an incredibly tough wait for you until Monday. I've just read your backstory. I wanted them to but they told me to contact my clinic for HCG testing, even though I told them they are closed until 2nd Jan. I’m really hoping they check it Monday though xx

So sorry to hear you’re going through this. The waiting must be driving you insane. Ive just read your bio & you certainly deserve some luck 😔

Like Elynn I’ve heard of many people who have had very heavy bleeding esp in the early stages after ivf and gone on to have successful pregnancies.

I’d say it also sounds positive that you have little pain. As with you my miscarriages have hurt a lot so hopefully it’s a really positive sign.

Are you still bleeding now or has it settled down a bit? Can you go back to A&E today and get them to at least retest your HCG to see if it’s still increasing?

I will keep everything crossed for you for Monday. Please let us know how it goes. Xx

Thank you hun. 💕I wanted them to check my HCG at the EPU the other night (they have in the past) but they told me to get this done at the clinic I’d had treatment at. I did tell them they are closed until 2nd jan. I’m still bleeding so that’s 11 days now 😞 thankfully it’s not heavy like it was though, so praying that’s a good sign xX

Oh god, they’re (some EPUs/A&Es) so annoying. Why won’t they just bloody check it for you?? Grrrr! I don’t think (from my experience anyway) the staff at EPUs really understand ivf pregnancies and what we go through to get to the pregnancy stage. Very frustrating to say the least.

I’m so glad to hear it’s not heavy anymore though, that has to be a positive sign.

I have everything crossed for you. I wish I could help make you feel better atm but I know that’s easier said than done. BUT, please remember that bleeding is very common and the fact it’s not heavy anymore has to be a good sign.

Yeah I think they just treat everyone same and they aren’t always great.
