For how long can a OPK pick up the LH hormone?

Hi all. Today is CD24 and i thought i missed my ovulation this month but after seeing EWCM this morning i decided to take an ovulation test this afternoon when got home. I was expecting to see a negative result but to my surprise the all 3 tests show two lines 🤷‍♀️. I tested with 3 different brands and 2/3 are tests show a definite positive (picture attached). Am i going mad? Have i missed my peak or is there still a chance if we BD tonight? 🤷‍♀️

Definitely keep bding but to save questioning the lines I recommend the Clearblue Ovulation Advanced Digital Dual Hormone Indicator it'll tell you off your lh is "low O ", "high flashing smiley face" or "peak solid smiley face" so no more guesswork and you can test throughout the day unlike the advanced monitor which only let's you test in the morning which isn't ideal.

Keep at it! These tests used to drive me insane! As part of our ivf cycle we were advised to use the clear blue ovulation tests and we used the digital one and it was so much more simple. Either a O and flashing smiley to show high fertility or a solid smiley to show peak fertility! Much less stressful!! xxx

Why did you need to use CB as part of your IVF cycle?

I had a natural FET so had to do ovulation tests from day 10 of my cycle till I got solid smiley then I was booked in for FET 6 days later xx

My cycle is irregular sometimes and just had a failed ivf last month. The irregularity of it makes it difficult to test with CB. I used them for a few months before the ivf but it costed me a fortune and seldom got a peak result around the same cd so I gave up using them. I didn't test yesterday or previous days as i thought i missed the fertilile window this month. Is it possible to have a high LH level even after ovulation?

Your test line needs to be at least as dark or darker than the control line on these strips. You may have to test twice a day to catch it properly.xx

I know the ctrl line has to be as strong as the test line, but would an opk still show 2 lines after ovulation?

Some women have 2 line throughout their cycle as there’s always LH in the system which is confusing. I barely get 2 lines near ovulation.

Yes you can still get 2 lines at other times in your cycle but they will be fainter. Its secreted at low levels throughout your cycle but you get a surge just before ovulation as this is the trigger for releasing the egg....around 24 to 36 hours prior.xx

I must be ovulating late this month.

I just did an ovulation test and the ctrl line is SO MUCH stronger then the test line. Wow..it is cd25.
