So after EC yesterday (20 collected), my stomach has been feeling tight and sore ever since. Called the clinic and they said it could be mild ohss, so have to go for a scan and blood test.
Could be that the transfer on Sunday is cancelled so I'm feeling pretty down.
Anyone else experience anything similar? X

Sorry you're feeling so rotten. Hopefully plenty of those eggs will fertilize and develop well enough to be frozen. I had mild OHSS and ended up doing a freeze all cycle. Disappointing at first but if you get pregnant the OHSS can get pretty nasty and it's good to be able to get back to 100% before transfer, so keep your chin up and hope you feel better soon xxx
They'd done some tests on day 10 of stims and when I went to the clinic for collection 2 days later Dr told me it would be freeze all. I was upset, just like you, but with hindsight it was definitely the best decision and I have my little girl from our first FET, so obviously it all worked out perfectly for us. Best of luck with your embies, hope they're developing nicely in the lab there xxx
Hi.. hope you’re ok 😘 this exact same thing happened to me. So the eggs were frozen on day 5 and we had our FET on Friday after a 2 month break in between treatment to let my body settle and get back to normal. It was upsetting at first but I felt so much better a week or so after collection and the bloating and tenderness had gone completely. Good luck with everything xxx
Ah thank you and great that you got to transfer good luck with it
I'm not sure what to think as the pain is going away now, but then comes back a bit. I'm weeing a lot too! Well, I'll have to see what they've got to say tomorrow..
Ahhh that’s good to hear about the scan! Yes kept myself busy but not too busy! It’s actually gone a lot quicker than I thought it would be!! Only 3 days left including today 🤞🏻🤞🏻 xx
How are you feeling today? I had to have a freeze all but was lucky in that I knew in advance, it must be really stressful to have the possibility sprung on you at this stage 😔
I know you’ll be disappointed if you don’t get to transfer on Sunday but they’ll only do that if it’s best for you. Drink lots & rest up! Good luck xx
Hey, Thanks for your kind message. Feeling much better today and the scan confirmed all is ok! What a relief. They're happy to go ahead for the transfer on Sunday, so hoping the embryos are doing well in the meantime!
Doc said I don't have fluid, just a bit swollen and bruised, which is normal after 20 were retrieved.
Yes! In my country they cancel transfer if 16 or more eggs collected because if OHSS. First time I got 19 eggs and was quite bad afterwards. With nausea, soreness, pain... When I started to vomit I got anxious and called the clinic. They took me in for a control, this was 3 days after collection, and found out that I had ascites, that is free liquid in the belly due to the condition. I had to come back the day after to drain it. 0,65 litres was removed. They said it wasn't much. But to me that was a great relieve. Take your time, rest, try to eat, and don't think too much about an eventual cancelling. An eventual pregnancy might worsen your condition. You don't want that. And there is no reason why to believe that you'll have better chances with a fresh cycle than with a FET when your body has recovered! Just hoping that there will be some eggs to freeze that is 😘😘😘 Good luck!
