After two years I can’t believe we’re finally about to start out first IVF cycle tomorrow. Got the meds yesterday, wow there’s a lot of them, feeling slightly overwhelmed but determined.
Just wondered if anyone had any top tips for newbies?
Thanks xx

Wishing you lots of luck with your cycle! I’m on day 23 of my first cycle (long protocol) and have managed to keep positive most of the time by taking the small wins (I did my first injection / I made it to baseline scan etc).
A friend also messaged me this before I started - ‘remember, you are braver than you believe and stronger than you feel’ 💪🏻
Hello, good luck on your journey, may it be quick and short try starting a diary - more on list everything that happens on your journey, and clip on the results, receipts and other stuff. It pays to keep a record.
Defo use a diary. Write down something to do or somewhere to go each day to help with the count down of the days. I also used my Bluetooth headphones and made a positive upbeat play list that I listened to as I prepared the needles. It made the whole process less stressful and more relaxing. The more you can get your head happy the better ! Try to take each step as it comes. It’s a very intense process. Be kind to yourself and do the things you love to do. Netflix was a great time passer! All the best x
