4th failed FET with DE- time to move clinics?

Hi all,

Would be interested in people's experiences with moving clinics after repeated failures. We have now gone through 2 sets of DE and DS with a clinic abroad (we also had a coordinating clinic in our home country) - both cycles gave us 2 high quality blastocytes. We had one blastocyte transferred each time. 2nd FET was BFP but bleed a week later, 4th FET was BFP but HCG dropped a week later and I'm bleeding now. Im 45, had children with my first husband and now trying for a baby with my new hubby. We opted for double donor due to both of us having fertility issues. Have had hysteroscopy and clinic really happy with womb. We are due a full review with our coordinating clinic but in the meantime would appreciate your experiences on moving clinic. Or is it just a numbers game and we just need to wait until our number is up?

Thanks to you all - this forum has been wonderful...

Hey, have your clinic changed anything in your protocol? Have they let you try steriods, intralipids, blood thinners, checked your progesterone levels for transfer? Was it the same donors? We also tried moving transfer day in case my implanation window was out. Ive not had a great time of things either are you know but our clinic has tried to cover all bases now and those are the things that we have done. We hoped that as we had gotten 2 BFP's on the trot that upping my progesterone would help this time but then got a BFN. Our coordinator has suggested an ERA test which of course is not cheap but its literally the only thing that we havent tried so in a last ditch so going to give it a try but also thinking about moving clinics for different reasons and a fresh pair of eyes too....still in the same country so we have the same coordinator.xx

Thanks so much. The clinic have been very proactive and changed up our meds everytime - so increased steroids, increased progesterone and they've checked it on transfer day too, they did hysteroscopy before the last transfer, they've done clexane and then aspirin on top of that. So I think they've done a lot. Because we've had implantation twice with BFP, its unlikely there's an issue with receptivity - otherwise it just wouldn't implant. I've never had intralipid infusion so not sure about that - because i've had children previoulsy I don't know if I could have developed an immune issue more recently that wasn't there before.

Thanks for your feedback and I hope you're doing ok xxx

No probs, it does sound like they are doing what they can to assist you in getting your BFP. My clinic suggested the ERA as we have had 2 chemicals but 3 negatives with really good quality embryos. It may just been bad luck and if you are happy with how the clinic are treating you then you may want to stay with them especially if they my offer money of another cycle for loyalty as some do. Im not doing too badly thanks, sad that it hasnt worked again and still stuck in limbo land but understand that it is a massive lottery at the same time so trying to be logical about it all.xx
