Hi lovelies I had my EC yesterday with a new clinic and was disappointed as they only got 6 eggs (previous EC, 11 and 13 eggs). I am going to ask more questions on this result, as this is the first time I have done a long protocol.
I got the call today that only one has fertilised and I'm gutted with this outcome. Based on this result they will be doing the transfer tomorrow.
I guess I am looking for stories of hope. My OH is trying to keep me positive but it's tough 😢

Hi Christine, sorry to hear that only one had fertilised, that happened to me too 😔 are the clinic happy with the quality of this embryo for transfer tomorrow? Our clinic decided that our embryo was not viable for transfer and our cycle was abandoned. This meant that we are now doing another fresh cycle because we didnt get to transfer through NhS.
I am not sure if you are nhs or self funded? But if the clinic are happy with this embryo...then you know...it really only takes 1 👍🥰 and cling onto that.
Thanks lovely I appreciate your reply and sorry to hear about your experience.
They seemed to be happy with transferring the embryo and suggested transferring early would give it the best chance, I'm sure if anything changes between today and tomorrow morning they will let me.
I know it only takes one and hopefully this will be it 🤞
I'm actually based in Australia and this is my first 'NHS' equivalent funded cycle, the others I did last year were privately funded.
Wishing you all the best with your cycle, how far along are you? Thanks again for your kind words xx
Hi Christine. When I first started in the fertility business, we only ever did Day 2 or 3 transfers, as we hadn't got the expertise to go to Day 5. Still got plenty of babies, so hopefully we can add yours to the list. he/she will soon be back inside you where he/she belongs. Thinking of you. Diane
