Confused when to take injections 😞

I am meant to take my first injections for my FET on day 2 of my period. The hospital said day 2 of normal period flow not spotting but I have been spotting on and off for a week now. Was meant to come on on Thursday but I've just had little bleeds here and there, my usual heavy period hasn't seemed to start. I've never had this before and its completely thrown me off track with when to take my injections. My Dr just says wait until you start properly but my period wont seem to start properly. Can anyone offer any help or advice.. I had a failed IVF in Sep and since then had one normal heavy period and now this? 🤷‍♀️

After my second failed cycle my period took ages to come, after the initial bleed from the fail, usually I have a 23-25 day cycle but I think it was 36 days, but only spotted a couple of days before it fully started. I did ring my clinic to ask them and they said it's quite normal for it to be quite late, but also suggested doing a test just to check if I was pregnant. X

Aww ok thank you for your reply 😊 I dont think I can be pregnant as have been bleeding a bit for a week but not enough for a period. Maybe it's just stress stopping me from bleeding like normal x 🤷‍♀️

Stress can possibly be a factor too. Looks like ur getting sorted thou if ur having to go for a scan. Fingers crossed u get sorted soon xx

I think you have to consult your doctor if you need a medicine to induce the period, cos that's what happened to me too

Hi Littlepeax. Such a nuisance for you. Try and be patient and see if your period does start. If not, you may need some medication to bring it on. This is a common problem and usually rectifies itself. Fingers crossed. Diane

Not the best, they said I have to wait until Jan to do my FET now as my lining is too thick and they cant understand why. My Dr was going to speak to one of the consultants then call me with regards to the next step . They said I probably need another hysteroscopy x

Yes, exactly! I'm glad I delayed as it's been 10x more stressful than I expected and I've been ill so was definitely the right decision to wait although I was so disappointed at the time. I'm hoping to give natural FET a go next cycle (just waiting on period) but will see how I feel as I really want to feel 100% ready xxx

Yeah I've been ill with bad chest and cold too so has worked out well 😊 yes exactly no huge rush, I'd rather wait and it be successful. At least then you know you did everything you can ♥️ aww not too long for you then maybe, let me know how you get on. Really hope it works for you this time x
