Hi Hun I just made sure I was home at 6 pm and 7pm for my 2 injections hope your work let you leave early so u can do your injections hope all goes well xx
Thanks julietyler! Ive been told my injections will be between 7am and 8am each morn so it shouldnt interfere with work too much. Just wanted to see if others took time off to rest or anything. Eeek i hope i can do them...scared haha xx
I got a stressful job I do night shifts can u imagine !! unfortunately I couldn't take time off but I usually inject my self in the evening it's more convient
just think about the positive outcome after all ivf is a hard journey you will be fine
Yes trying to be as possitive as possible!! Started on metformin a couple of weeks ago so feeling abit 🤢🤢 but all be worth it when i have my baybeeeeeee 😊😊
Thankyou simona2 yes I will try to relax, im sure I will get into the swing of doing the injections after a day or 2...fear of the unknown i suppose! Xx
Thanks emilyjenson im good thanks other than having a bad belly from the metformin tablets 🤢🤢 Yeah i might try and take some time off as ive got plenty of holls left at work anyway 😁
I’m the same as you with a stressful job. I decided to take annual leave after transfer so that I didn’t spend that time stressed. I worked as usual during injections and as far as I’m aware that didn’t impact my progress. I got 11 eggs which I was quite happy with.
Thanks Lynnr54! Fingers crossed i have the same luck! How was egg retrieval and transfer? I get really nervous before smears so I'm going to have to seriously toughen up haha! Xx
Good luck with it all! I have a stressful job but it varies in intensity. I didn’t take time off during stims but I did plan ivf rounds for my quieter times as I would have found it very difficult taking so much time out for injections and scans during times my work is really full on. That was just my preference though. The Scottish politician Ruth Davidson managed to get pregnant successfully with IVF whilst working, so it must still work even if you have a stressful job! Good luck with it all xxx
As I think you have seen I am now amazingly 17 weeks pregnant at the age of 39, following our second round of ivf. I think the doctors really learnt from my first round and I had a much better second round thankfully! Wishing you all the best with it all xxx
