Advice for Travelling with Refrigerated Meds

Hi,

We will be driving about 3-4 hours (depending on traffic) the day before I start Gonal F injections, which need to be kept refrigerated. We will only need to take 1 load as only staying 2 nights, but does anyone have any advice on how to transport it and keep it at the right temperature for the journey?

Thanks in advance!

When they are delivered they come in a box with freeze packs in them, so I would imagine if you got yourself a small freeze block and pack it within one of those fabric lunch packs (don’t let have them touching) then that should be ok. But obviously always check with the clinic xx

Hiya, our menopur had to be in the fridge but once it was mixed up it didn't so may be worth just checking it's not the case with yours. We just then had to use the mixed menopur within 28 days of mixing (which we did). Good luck xx

Thanks for the advice both but I just got home and hubby has bought a mini fridge for the car, so problem solved!

Hi I travelled to Greece with mine. I asked my consultant for a letter so I could travel with my meds. I kept them in a separate chill bag with a frozen gel pack. Also I had to take out all my injection vials out at the airport into their plastic see through bags.
