Newbie looking for advice

Morning ladies,

This is my first post as I've only just found this site, which is actually amazing !!!!!!

So I had my embryo transfer on Saturday, in Cyprus and we transferred 3, 5 day blast embryo's that were all graded B's

Has anybody on here transferred B grading's and had a BFP ? we were both quite disappointed that we only managed to get B's as we used donor eggs and the donor was only 23.......

This is our second attempt and as I'm now 43 we are thinking that maybe this is our last try :-/

I've downloaded some hypnotherapy aps and am going to listen to them everyday, and we had acupuncture and a scratch and entrillipid infusion, so have thrown everything at it this time haha

Do any of you lovely ladies, no anything else that I can do to maybe help implantation, anything I can eat or drink ? or is it just relax, chill and keep everything crossed, I keep getting a slight pulling sensation low down on the right hand side, and cant work out if that's a good sign or not as I'm only 2 day passed 5 day transfer

Thanks in advance xxx

Hi Bliss44. Just really wanted to wish you all the best with this. I wouldn't worry too much about your blastocysts being Grade B as they still stand a good chance. They're back inside you which is what matters. I think your best bet is to eat a sensible well balanced diet and make sure you take your Folic Acid and Vitamin D too. A little exercise and plenty of rest too. I'm sure the girls here will give you their tips, so good luck and I shall be thinking of you. Diane

I did my transfer on saturday too!! We transferred 2 5 day blasts.

I'm currently having twinges on my both sides , left side is more. They didn't tell me the grades and I didn't ask for it. I thought that whatever the grade is , if it is going to stick it will.

Can you tell me the names of these apps? Do they help ?

It's my first time transfer, hope it works for both of us and we have the same due dates!

The grading is provided by embryologist at the clinic. It's qualitative analysis of the growing embryo, much subjective and no app can do that, really. Usually, the clinic reveals that right away when it's time for FET mine did too. If you've had a blastocyst already you can ask your clinic for the grades. It's natural to be scared of the uncertainties about the first FET. I suggest you watch more informational video on the process to calm your nerves and feel a bit confident. I remember the "how to prepare for Embryo transfer" by Dr Elena Mozgovaya (totally informative) and kind of helped me shake off my fears when I had my first ever FET. Just be optimistic, that's the only thing you can do as of now to give your embryo a better chance to stick. Wish you all the love and the luck for a successful IVF! :)

Hi amalhope, thanks for your reply, I’ve just downloaded the Zita West app, there quite good but I’ve not don’t hypnosis before so think it may take some time to relax into it, but think it’s still worth a try.

I’ll keep everything crossed for you, hope your doing ok, keep us posted

Hi there, congratulation on the successful egg retrieval and embryo growth so far. I don't think grade B is any bad and it surely gives BFP. You can rest assured that the grade won't affect your cycle if it's either A or B. About healthy switch to promote pregnancy after the FET. Add some royal jelly and rich in fibre food in your diet. You can adapt to green tea for detox. Most importantly stay happy and avoid stress - it helps give you the optimum hormonal balance that helps in implantation. Sending baby dust!:)

Hi, good luck with your wait. Fresh pineapple with the core is said to be good for a few days after transfer but it has to be with the core. Brazil nuts are also good. Fingers crossed for a BFP!

Thank you so much for your advice, I’ve been eating Brazil nuts, but really don’t like pineapple, maybe I’ll give it another go if it would help xx

I had just 1 2bb embryo transferred (there were none left to freeze) just over 39 weeks ago and am due to have a c section this week so a bb really can work! I wasn't even told the grading at the time of transfer just that it was 'good' and it stood as good a chance as any other embryo so try not to think about the gradings at all and just relax and look after yourself - lots of water, healthy food, hypnotherapy apps and acupuncture seemed to work for us! Wishing you all the best for a BFP! Xxx

Hi there. The donor's age is now guarantee about the quality. There are so many other things to take into consideration. For example her AMH levels etc. I am sorry to hear that you didn't have the best of experiences. I hope these are good enough to get you the baby you want. Good luck!
