Hi everyone, I need advice please!

Today is my test day day 10 post 5dt. They transferred 2 embryos, I don't know what grade they were other than one was good and one a bit behind in development. I've been crampy on and off for the whole 2ww and really sore yesterday with some dark brown spotting. Today the bleeding is more but pain less, but my pregnancy test is strongly positive. I was utterly convinced the test would be negative as some initial nausea was settling down then I had the bleeding. Now I don't know what to think!

I know this could easily just be early mc but I wondered if its possible to bleed with 2 embryos if one doesn't survive but the other does? I'm guessing all I can do is test daily over the next few days and see what happens?

I've been so low over the last few days and we were totally prepared for a negative test today and now we feel like we've been turned upside down. I just wondered if anyone had any words of wisdom?

Thanks so much x

Oh bless you what a rollercoaster! I have never transferred two myself but so many women on here have and have had early bleeding and then scans showed one of their embryos has stuck. Got everything crossed that you have a sticky one lovely 🤞 xxxx

Sorry I can’t really help other than say poor you! I’m sorry you have this uncertainty. You are right Keep testing each morning unless the bleeding increases and you know it’s a period. Remember some women get inplantation bleeding. Also Get to your clinic ASAP for a blood test to confirm either way. Best of luck xx

Thank you for your message and advice! Will test again this evening although I have a bad feeling that it’s probably a mc :(

I’ll contact my clinic tomorrow though and see what they say!

I am praying for you. Please contact your clinic and find out if you need to increase progestrone. This must be such a difficult position for you.

Thank you! It’s horrible. I’m losing hope as cramping all afternoon and still bleeding. My progesterone was due to stop yesterday either way so all I can do is call them tomorrow and keep my fingers crossed. Xx

I'm currently 6dp5dt and have had no symptoms at all. I'm worried by this but trying to keep calm and distracted. X

Try not to worry, keeping calm is much easier said than done but will be better for your head space. Not everyone gets symptoms and day6 is still really early. Best of luck xx

Hi, I had 2 transferred on my last cycle. I had a very strong positive test. At 5 weeks exactly I had some brown spotting and my breast tenderness completely disappeared. The next morning I had a huge red bleed, luckily whilst on my way to the clinic. They scanned me and saw a sac and said it’s common to bleed after having a double transfer if one is lost. My hcg levels were super high and stayed high. Unfortunately we had complications further down the line completely unrelated. I know how worrying this can all be but it’s quite possible that all is not lost, hang in there and good luck xx

Thank you so much for your message and sharing your experience. Its comforting to know that it’s just possible all is ok. Another urine test tonight is at least as strong as yesterday’s but I’m still bleeding. Fingers crossed. So sorry for your loss but delighted to see you’re pregnant this time round. Thanks again xx

Hi koalawahine, Hope you feeling better soon. I had a double transfer a while ago as a result one stuck and I had a beautiful boy in my arms now sleeping😊. But before i been spotting and cramping too after my positive result. I ask my consultant about it they said its quiet common for ivf to bleed in pregnancy. So hopefully yours will be a strong baba🙏🏼. And sometimes if its happen to be twin pregnancy they also bleed quiet a lot because the embryos are digging deeper to implant. So keep rested and lots of prayer it really helps. Keep us posted when is your scan btw? I know its hard but always be positive and think of good things 😊Good luck and baby dust✨

Hi thank you so much for your message. It’s amazing to read these experiences that you’ve all had and they’re making me feel like there might still be hope... My test was just as strong tonight despite bleeding and cramping all day so I’ll speak to my clinic tomorrow and see what they suggest. No date for a scan yet, my otd was only Saturday so they said scan in 4 weeks if positive. I’m hoping I’ll at least get a blood test this week to try and figure out what’s going on. Thanks so much again xx

Hi koalawahine, I meant to say if you are still bleeding pls dont stop the progesterone or suggest it to your clinic to double it up. Because when i was spotting my clinic told me to continue my progesteron im taking pessaries and injection by then. Because it helps the Lining thicken to prevent miscarriages i think. Thick lining is better than thin and bleeding makes your lining thin. And even tho your still far away from your scan i know the clinic give you dates when to but you can still go to private to see whats going on and for your piece of mind .

Hi, I had 2 embryos in a FET. I’m now 16dp5dt. I had spotting from 4dp. And it’s been on and off but only when I wipe, some has been bright red, some pink and some brown. I have a good strong test result. I’m totally petrified.

Are you bleeding or spotting? What is the flow like? And. Colour? Not that I have any answers but seems I’m in the same boat.

Wishing us both the best outcome xxxxx

Hi Dolly8, you poor thing. I’m not surprised you’re terrified, what have your clinic advised?

I’d say I’m more bleeding than spotting, not as heavy as a period but on the pad and cramps for the last few days. Mostly very dark brown blood, a bit of fresh today so I thought it was all over but it’s back to dark brown again. My urine test was a strong positive again tonight despite this going on for a few days now. I don’t know what to think.

Maybe it’s a 2 embryo thing like mytimewillcome said. I wish you the best of luck and keep everything crossed for us both xxx

I'd say you're pregnant... considering both the strong BFP and all the symptoms you mentioned. Spotting is not always bad you see and cramps are also very consistent for some women throughout the gestation period as well. Also the good thing is the spotting isn't fresh red but only dark brown. Which means that's old dried blood, usually, the type defined in IB and it's the same for IVF or natural TTC. Also, the nausea is the most common pregnancy symptoms and you have it... I don't see a reason to doubt it.

Yes it's possible to get just one embryo to get stuck but usually, it doesn't bleed out as normal. However, your spotting or light bleeding seems more like IB than PMS or whimsical AF to me.

All I say is, miracles do happen and then it happens when you least expect it. You've got to stay optimistic and not upset your hormonal balance with all the odd thoughts.

Its so common to bleed in early pregnancy. Esp double embryo transfer.

Progesterone can cause cervical sensitivity and bleeding, subchorionic hematoma common or bedding in bleeding all very distressing but often have no long term effects on pregnancy. Your clinic will probably order a series of bhcg blood tests. They will double every 48hrs. When you are eligible a transvag scan will reassure you. Wishing you all the best, and congratulations.

Dark brown can be implantation, keep testing and speak to your clinic. My friend recently had a bleed right next to where baby had attached it lasted for the first 13 weeks, she is now almost 7 months pregnant. Don't loose hope yet xxx

Thank you all so much for your messages of hope! I’m still bleeding and it’s redder today but went in to see my clinic and got a blood test which they said showed a ‘good level’

I don’t know what to think but we have a glimmer of hope that maybe one of the embies is clinging on... back to clinic on Wednesday and hoping so much that the hcg has doubled.

Thanks again for all the support, it’s helping so much. I feel less alone xxx
