So today we were at the BBC and we got a preview of the documentary we volunteered to be filmed for. We agreed to film and be filmed during our second round of IVF which took place at the start of the year, it was so emotional seeing it all over again ๐ญ I started sobbing 2 mins in and it's an hour long episode!
I'm so glad we did it, it was just really hard to watch it all over again ๐ข
If anyone wants to watch then I can let you know when it's being aired, it will be shown on BBC one Scotland and potentially UK wide but will also be available on iPlayer

Wow what an amazing thing to be part of. Donโt think I could have shared my journey in a documentary at all, for fear of looking like a complete wreck. Were you pleased with the film? Is it a good representation of you and your journey? And is it positive? Would love to watch on I player when you have the details. ๐
I'm not sure if it'll go on iPlayer the same time as it's being aired but it will be shown 29th October at 10pm on BBC One Scotland, it was myself and my husband and 2 other couples who all had unexplained infertility and were going through IVF, there was a lot of material filmed and a lot of it had to be cut but it was a really good representation of us and was really powerful, don't want to spoil the outcome but we are about to do a frozen embryo transfer next month so we didn't get our BFP from that round but it's really captured what we wanted and that was to give awareness of what IVF is really like, tears and heartbreak and all, there are a few bits that gave us a laugh though
Wow. Really brave. You should be proud of being strong enough to share your journey. What is it called? Will check iplayer for it. Good luck with your treatment xxx
Well done for doing such a brave thing and sharing your journey. I think it will really help a lot of people and raise awareness of IVF and infertility ๐ I would love to watch it. A documentary I watched on Netflix called 'One more shot' was good to watch if anyone else is interested X
Wow Sarah this is amazing. What a brave thing to do, Iโm sure it will educate a lot of people about just how difficult IVF really is. Luckily Iโm in Scotland so Iโll definitely be watching your journey.
Wow what a great (and brave) thing to do. Great to raise awareness of what IVF is really like, as people just have no idea. Definitely keep us posted closer to the time as Iโd like to watch it too. Sorry that you didnโt get your bfp that round, fingers firmly crossed for your FET lovely xxx
Dear Sarah, what a courageous step it is to share ivf journey! We all know how important it is to share for a good cause indeed!
I had an ICSI back in 2013-2016 a long struggle and it was in Scotland too. Living in Asian region now, for I belong to Asia, I feel indebted to Scotland for I am blessed with a baby boy from that icsi treatment there.
Again relating to my area, I feel people don't talk about it not even for the awareness, however, I have got to know that several people choose to go through ivf here too! What is relevant here it is that going through a difficult journey silently, without any support like I got in this group!!! Must be very tough for the people here.
Need of awareness campaign doesn't stop only to this personal level!!! We need employers, fellow colleagues, family members who are aware of this journey so that the least should come from them all, which is a supportive attitude!!!
I would love to watch how could you really got courage to do this!!!
Again, I'm afraid if iPlayer would work for Asia!!!!
I am interested in watching your episode of bravery! And fingers crossed for upcoming FET. Xxx
I think itโs really incredible that you allowed part of your journey to be filmed! Great to raise awareness. Wishing you lots of luck with your upcoming transfer xxx
I was so happy to see this post, it reminded me of when I watched 'One more shot' on Netflix. There needs to be more out there to show what amazingly super human we all are. Very proud that your a part of this!! Xxx
