We have been doing the IVF treatment for the past 3 years. First cycle, we didn't do PGS and resulted in miscarriage.
With my 2nd cycle, I have got 8 PGS normal embryos. I got pregnant with the first FET but that too was a miscarriage in about 7 weeks. 2nd and 3rd FET resulted BFN.
I also have done ERA, hysteroscopy which are normal.
I don't have any idea why it's failed. Kind of loosing hopes. Just trying to see if anybody have similar experience and followed different protocol which was successful ?

I’m sorry this cycle hasn’t worked. I PGS tested on 1 cycle last year - only got 2 blastocysts - one was complex abnormal the other mosaic. I decided not to do anymore PGS but switched to natural modified IVF as it was obvious short protocol IVF wasn’t doing anything for my egg quality (over 2 cycles 28 eggs less than 30% fertilised and 4 average blastocysts)
Over 2 cycles of natural modified I got 9 eggs 100% fertilised and 4 top quality blastocysts- found out today im pregnant with twins. So for me stripping back all the drugs etc seems to have worked
What quality were your blastocysts? Were they day 5s or 6s? Did your clinic do time lapse or anything on them? X
I’m so sorry you’ve had to go through those losses and disappointments. It’s amazing you got so many PGS normal embryos on your 2nd cycle so that’s a really big positive that your embryos are good quality. Has your consultant/doctor given you any insight into why they think it’s not working?
My gut from that would tell me that there is something else going on there. Have you been checked for blood clotting issues? Killers cells?xx
Yea we consulted before this transfer. Doctor suggested to do hysteroscopy. It was all normal. Haven’t heard about blood clotting and killer cells. Does it cause implantation?
I had the blood clotting panel done, think it’s called Thrombophilia? I had it done after three failed rounds (1 mc and 2 bfns). Was recommended to rule out any issues there as I think that can be a common cause of failures.
I don’t know much about the killer cells I’m afraid just that I know it can be a factor with repeated miscarriages and implantation failure. Basically your body fights against the pregnancy. Hopefully some ladies on here with some personal experience can you give you more details xx
Oh great. Thanks for sharing the information. I will check with my doctor. Did you have successful pregnancy after blood clotting panel? What is the process to do that testing and did you take any medicines?
I had it done before doing my fourth round, I changed clinics and they recommended doing it to rule it out as my previous clinic had put me on blood thinners. Mine came back all fine, so I didn’t need the thinners. It’s just a blood panel so all you have to do is have a blood test and wait for the results.
We also did PGS on that fourth round for the first time and I’m 27 weeks pregnant from our transfer from that x
Hi Poosa, I’m so sorry you’re going through all this. But well done you for taking matters into your own hands to investigate and explore options. I’ve yet to have my first FET. It’s a DE transfer but as I understand from my doctor and all the research I’ve done, the main factors which affect success vs failure of a PGS tested embryo failing are: uterine lining insufficient or too early/ too late transfer window, other genetic embryo issue (PGS doesn’t check absolutely everything as I understand) but that doesn’t sound like it’s the case with you because yours implanted. The other thing is fibroids.
I’ll be interested to hear what you find out as I only have 2 embryos (both tested) and this is our last shot. I dread to think of one of them failing.
I think ERA test will give you the exact day for your transfer. I have done that and I need one extra day of progesterone.
also have done hysteroscopy. No fibroids. They just saw a tiny extra tissue and was removed.
I think I tested too early or my hcg was low yesterday I got negative HPT. Today morning I checked again and I could see a faint line. My blood work is tomorrow. I am optimistic that everything will be ok.
All the best for your FET. If I have any other information will share here.
