Hi Luna, I ended up booking in privately with the counsellor who provides the free session via my clinic. I knew i’d need more support than just the 6 sessions they
offer but that way I could guarantee my counsellor would have experience with dealing with ivf x
Hi, If you want a counsellor who specialises in fertility, you can find one through the British Infertility Counselling Association - all these counsellors have specialist training and are accredited bica.net
Hey Luna yes agree with the above, it may be worth you seeing if the clinic have a phone appointment / cancellation if you want to talk immediately.. this can often be of help in the 1st instance. Meanwhile do a small amount of research online and you can usually filter by infertility/fertility and have a quick look at the bio’s online to check experience ... there are definitely councillors out there who are experienced in this field ...
Good luck finding one .. if I can be of anymore help at all feel free to drop me a pm ...
