NOA pregnancy outcomes?

I'm currently 4w2d into a pregnancy following transfer of a blastocyst from a synchronised cycle of retrieval and mTese. My husband has NOA from undescended testes as a child. I'm interested in hearing from anyone who got pregnant with a partner with NOA. How far did the pregnancy progress? Did it result in a live birth? We're trying to temper our excitement with caution, and it would be really useful to have a sense of how things have played out from here for others in a similar situation.

I’m not sure what NOA means sorry. It isn’t something I’ve come across reading on here either but I just want to wish you luck and congratulations on your bfp xx

Non-obstructuve azoospermia (no sperm in ejaculate). Thanks for your well wishes!

Congratulations on your pregnancy. Ive seen a few ladies over my time being here having success after surgical retrieval of sperm (been here a long time). Getting a BFP is a great first step and the anxiety never really leaves you, just try to take one day at a time! Good luck.xx

Hi some16. A pregnancy however conceived whether naturally, IVF or some kind of sperm retrieval, has just as much chance of continuing. I would look forward to your viability scan, and all should reassure you. I have had many couples in similar situations who are happy families now. Thinking of you. Diane

Hi Some, congratulations, that’s amazing news! I’d never heard of the term NOA before but my partner’s sperm had to be surgically removed (he had breaks in his vas deferents). We have a one year old daughter from this procedure.

Hello. I hope you had a successful pregnancy. My husband is currently awaiting for an mTESE via the NHS, but we want to understand our options, including going private to cut the wait and possibly synchronise the mTESE with egg retrieval - which I understand is what you did. Non of the options we looked at so far allow this, can you let me know which clinic and andrologist did you go for? Is it based in London?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
