Hello beautiful ladies , i just had my bfp on monday and I am supposed to be 4 weeks 4 days now according to my calculations . I started on prednisone 20mg and aspirin 81mg one week before my transfer , i have endometriosis ans high nk cells so my RE wants me to stop prednisone next week and stay on aspirin .
Any thoughts or experiences on this
I am really super anxious about stopping prednisone this early as i read a lot ladies continued for up to 10 weeks
Can anyone share their experience 💕💕

First of all you cannot stop 20mg in a week time as you are on a quite strong dose and you have to reduce 5 mg each week otherwise sudden stop of steroids can have really bad side effects. My clinic advised me to carry on taking them until 10weeks and 6 days. You should discuss with your clinic again just for your peace of mind. Good luck 🤞❤️
You could ask to take hydroxychloriquine instead of the 15mg cut in prednisolone. To compensate. I think some doc are worried about lip problems for the baby related to prednisone once the placenta is here.
100% do not stop the predisolone, ask for a different opnion or push to continue. I have high nk cells and I was on steroids until 12 weeks, then weaned off slowly so was completely off them by 16. I'm under the care of a recurrent specialist /immunologist and his treatment is the only reason we are 8 weeks away from becoming parents. To advise you to come off the steroids is ridiculous. Please follow your gut on this one xx
Hey there . I insisted on him and he said to ease my mind i could take 5 mg along with aspirin 81mg should be enough so im thinking on going up to 10 mg i dont know
If i am right the predisolone is like a steriod right? Well i stop my steriod as soon as i got my positive test and I am 12 weeks pregnant now with twins and nothing is wrong with my pregnancy. The steriod is to help with implementation once that occur you dont need to continue with it. I have high NK cells due to my autoimmune and as I said once i got the results the doctor called and said to stop my steriod immediately. I think you will be fine if you stop but the decision is up to you and your doctor. Good luck
Thats what he said that it was only for implantation and not needed through out pregnancy as i need my immune system for me and my baby and i am also ok aspirin 81mg . But i insisted on him so he said i can take 5mg and not more . I really dont know after 4 years and first bfp in my life i am always so so scared
I think that is the problem with most of the ladies on the forum. They have fear that if they stop soon with their medication it will cause them the pregnancy they work so hard to achieve. Which is understandable but you have to think positive and know if its God will it will happen. No medication can prevent it ,if its meant to be. Like i stop all my medications by 10weeks 6day. I know alot of ladies would not they want to go straight to 12 weeks but i am just thinking postive and hoping i make it to full term.
I am also on it, my doctor told me to stop at 6 weeks but I am too scared. What if something goes wrong? I am taking 10mg a day and will continue until 12 weeks x
Exactly !! I never had a miscarriage as this is my first pregnancy but i always had implantation failure and never reached bfp until i took prednisone and aspirin i think they helped me a lot so really skeptical about stopping i am going to keep on 5 mg daily until 12 weeks like i read here
Yes, I would not stop either x I think we should be ok. I am hoping that 10mg isn’t very high. I know that 5mg is very little, my doctor told me that I could stay on 5mg till the end if I wanted to so you will be absolutely fine on that x
Anything less than 20mg is considered low dose ... for me 5 mg is nonsense😂 but my RE is very good in his practice and if i needed more he would have told me so .good luck for both of us may we have a peaceful pregnancy 💕
You too x I think so too, I have no problems with sleeping or anything so it can not be very high. I was on 40mg once for an eye infection, I had so much energy and felt so great I was running around the house, cleaning etc like a nutter 😂
