Natural FET vs medicated FET have you done both? Pros & cons please

For those of you that can and have chosen to do a natural FET but it resulted in early loss did you then choose a medicated fet? Did you prefer one over the other?

My natural fet ended in a chemical. They want to do an ERA to check timing etc but they want to do a medicated ERA. Surely that's not a fair test? Would the results be accurate? If I had a natural transfer then to have an ERA to figure out why it failed surely I'd med it to be a natural era? I dont know what to do!

If it's a medicated ERA then surely I'll have to do a medicated fet next time? Comparing apples with apples.

I'm not sure if medicated fet has better results better than natural fet? Help

I only had a medicated fet which failed. Couldn't do natural ET as I had ohss. I hear fet is supposed to be better as your body has had time to recover but I'm not convinced given that my fet failed with a good graded embryo. I decided against a natural fet as I was too scared id miss the window for transfer with the opk

I can only do frozen transfers as my pgs blastocysts are in the freezer. My dilemma is whether or not to do a medicated FET or a natural FET. My cycle works fine and I ovulate naturally. But I just had a natural fet that resulted in a chemical pregnancy. My Dr wants to explore why by doing a mock transfer cycle and taking a biopsy of my womb on day of transfer instead of transferring an embryo. This is called an ERA test. To check if we transferred at the right time last time. But he wants to control my cycle with medication during this mock cycle. My failed fet was a natural one so I'm worried the results he gets from the ERA won't be accurate because it's a medicated cycle not a natural...comparing apples with oranges if you like

I’ve had both.

First was a medicated FET just over a year ago. I had been ovulation testing but never got a peak reading. I got my BFP, saw a heartbeat at 7 weeks then had a miscarriage sometime between 9-10 weeks.

I then underwent surgery for endometriosis in November last year and found that when I recovered from that, I started to see peak readings on the ovulation test.

I had a natural FET on 11/08 and am now 6+2 with my viability scan booked for tomorrow!

I much preferred the process for the natural FET, I’ve had fewer symptoms and side effects than I did on the medicated and it somehow feels more ‘real’ this time round. I’m just keeping everything crossed for a successful outcome!

So both natural and medicated resulted in bfp. I'm sorry the first one failed.

Hey Hun good u got some options. Sounds like it makes sense to do the era on a natural cycle. Can they do that? Or are they saying it can only be done on a medicated cycle. I’ve only done natural FETs as like u my cycles have usually been ok and found them kinder on the body. Guess medicated u can be sure of ovulation and that.

Well it wasn't 100% natural as they did trigger me just because the r lining and follicle were adequate sizes and thickness so they could control it better this way.

I'll talk to the Dr tomorrow about my options but if they do a medicated era it won't be useful to tell me much about my failed fet I'll instead have to look at it in that it's preparing me for a medicated cycle next time...Not thrilled to be pumping drugs unnecessarily but maybe that's where I've been going wrong...who knows!
