I'm currently 6+3 days pregnant. Last week I visited the doctors with a suspected uti.. I often suffer with them so I knew the signs. I also mentioned to the doctor I was experiencing pain in my left side the previous night from then I was sent straight to the hospital. All is fine with baby on scan and was sent away with antibiotics called Nitrofurantoin.. 2 days in taking the tablets I was violently sick and severe diarrhoea sorry for tmi. I was so sick I was nearly admitted to hospital to be put on a drip for fluids. As you can imagine this was very scary being do poorly whilst pregnant with my first baby! I visited the doctors 3 days later to find the antibiotics I was given caused severe side effect, I have since changed antibiotics to treat the uti. They are very toxic.. please read the reviews on these tablets. I am now a week in and still sick. I just hope my little bean is ok in there. I have a scan next week so keeping my fingers crossed. Please please if anyone is given these then advoid at all costs! X
