Any success with low dose stims?

Hi ladies

On round two of IVF and only on 250 Menopur.

Last cycle I was on from 300 to 375 but none made to blastocyst.

Anyone of opinion that lower dose creates less but higher quality eggs?

I’m 43 so this is last chance saloon with my own eggs.

On day five now and wondering if I can push to up dose or best not?

Doc saw 16 follicles on day two and predicted a dozen at collection but now can only see 11 and predicting 6.

I had my stimms lowered to 75ml menopur and I ended up getting more to blastocyst and ultimately got my little boy. I think it's better to focus on how you respond rather than figures. Plus it's cheaper!!! Good luck. X

1st cycle 225/300 menopur - 6 eggs, 5 fertilised, day 5 still had 3 embryos a 4ab transferred, none frozen. 2nd cycle 400 menopur - 2 eggs both fertilised day 3 transfer, none frozen and 3rd cycle 400 gonal-f 1 egg, fertilised, abnormal cell division no transfer. I got better result on clomid cycles I had before starting ivf than my 2nd and 3rd ivf cycles. I think everyone is different but I think for me, the higher doses didn't work and I think I respond better to lower dose and get better quality. Good luck xx

I get much better embryos on lower doses of stims. High dose I got nothing reach day 5, low dose I got 5 blasts from 6 eggs! Good luck!xx

I was on 150 bemfola and I am now 13 weeks pregnant. My consultant was adamant that low dose stims produce better results. I have AMH of 2.3 and only 3 follicles left. Fingers crossed for you ✨Xx
