Well, by some miracle (that goes against our fertilisation track record) two of our three eggs have fertilised . I can’t quite believe it - looking at the odds I genuinely thought we’d get none . The embryologist said as much as they can see on day 1 - the two look good . She says she will be able to grade them tomorrow . 🤞🏼
They have told me I will have a double two day transfer tomorrow being as we only have the two and we are not waiting to choose a “front runner”. She says that it is better and I will have a better chance when they are back in the natural environment. I am worried this is just what they “have to say” and that I am being fobbed off?
I am still thankful that we have actually made it to transfer with two out of a possible three eggs …… but I need some positive stories to encourage me ! Does anyone have any successful 2 day transfer stories that may keep me going?

There are probably thousands and thousands from the early days of IVF before they had the technology to take embryos to 5 days. Best of luck, they really are better off back inside their Mummy xxx
This is great news! See, sometimes with smaller number of eggs, the quality is just better!! 😘 Loads of positives here: most importantly, these might both be perfect embryos which would make it to day 5 blasts in the lab if left to develop, but by putting them back early, you avoid the risk of nothing to transfer. Just the fact that you're allowed them back is great and something to celebrate, in a way - lots of clinics won't do transfers before day 5, which I personally find pretty annoying and stressful. This way, you're at least in the game! And all transfers used to be day 2 or 3, after all, so you KNOW it can work 💚 You can also maybe take heart that you're being allowed 2 back, as again, some clinics won't do this for under 40s (and lots of people say on here they'd love to put 2 back 😆) . So I think there is a lot to be excited about here 😍 xx
Yes - I know in my logical head you’re right . And tbf, I didn’t see us even getting one out of three with our fertilisation history. I know I must be thankful to make transfer at all. They gave me the option of one or two- but they suggested as we only have the two and it is a little too early to determine concrete quality , to go with both. Again, I know I am lucky with that- especially as this is an NHS round and I am under 40. I just worry as I think we are led to fixate on day five aren’t we and I’m worried they are just chucking them in to tick a box !
