Salpingectomy

Good morning,

I had a salpingectomy to remove a hydrosalpinx on Tuesday. They also had to remove some adhesions in my uterus.

We won’t be doing IVF as we already have one child. I just wondered if there were any success stories of natural conceptions after a salpingectomy?

They say the other tube looks good, so in theory pregnancy is possible. All the success stories I have found have been through IVF though.

Thanks in advance x

Hi my lovely... good to hear that you had the hydro removed. I think as long as you have the other healthy tube then a pregnancy is still possible it may just take longer... I had ivf after removing mine after 2 months so didn’t give it long enough to see if I could achieve pregnancy with the other tube. Good luck xx

Thank you for your reply. I’m going back to the clinic in a couple of weeks to go through the results of the laparoscopy properly but fingers crossed everything is looking good xx
