Anyone who had bilateral salpingectomy due to severe endometriosis and had successful IVF? And for how many days did you bleed after the surgery? Thank you.

Hi there. I had the same surgery around 2 weeks ago. I only had a little bleeding for maybe one day or so.

I have heard from quite a few ladies who have then had successful ivf. Once the tubes are removed, providing the womb is ok, we should have the same success as anyone else.

Hope you recover quickly and well xx

Thank you for replying. I’m still bleeding but not much. When I go for number 2, I see blood on the in tissue when I wipe(sorry for tmi). I will see by next week if i’m still bleeding I might call them and ask them.

Hi there. They didn't need to as my surgeon extremely efficient and I received a letter detailing her findings and what she did within days. I then scanned and sent to my clinic. But I did have surgery privately. x

Hi there. It is totally possible for IVF to be successful. If the surgery was a success, then why not? Now you have as good a chance as the next woman. As far as the bleeding is concerned, that can vary. My sister had this surgery. She bled for two days after. The doctor had told her to expect bleeding for one day. However, for two days she had it. Even after that for two days she would see a spot or two. However, she went on to had a successful IVF after that. So, don't worry too much. I hope everything goes according to plan. Good luck! Let us know how it goes.

Hey Amiraa! You have come to the right place for suggestions. We all are here like a family. I hope you get a bunch full of suggestions here. Well the success of IVF is not confirmed. Sometimes it might take a lot of time dear. It also depends on the surgery. If the tubes are removed well and the womb is alright, then you might have success. IF there is any complication during or after surgery then you might be not successful. The bleeding time may change for different woman. Normally it is for 1 to 2 days. Then everything is fine. You can also go for more IVF attempts as well. Just stay strong and positive. My prayers and wishes are with you. Hope you have a successful IVF attempt. All the very best.
