ship DHEA from US

Hiya, I was wondering if it's possible to get DHEA posted from the US. My sister is there at the moment but, I am wondering if it might get stuck at customs?

I do have a prescription from my clinic.

I don’t think you would have a problem with customs as it’s a off the shelf vitamin they are sold in all major retailers in America.

Thank you for your reply Hopefulholly, I think you are right about her not having a problem posting it from the States, not sure once it reaches the UK. I might give it a try I suppose.

I have ordered it from biovea.com which my fertility told me.

I got the delivery in 7 days.

Make sure you called them after you order just to check whether it is in stock.

For me when I ordered it was showing out of stock and then when I didn’t receive it, I called them and they said it is out of stock.

So I asked them the availability, they said they have 90 tablets so I ordered that and i received it today.

I ordered mine off the net from Biovea and it was posted. Luckily mine got through customs but I have read other ladies on here have had theirs stopped by customs. It's because it is not an approved supplement in the UK and can only be obtained with a prescription. If you have a prescription can you not go to a pharmacy? xx

Hi AnnieAnnie, I did call some pharmacies but they didn't have it I guess for the same reason of not being an approved suplement in the UK.

You won’t get it from a pharmacy, it is an American drug not available in the uk prescription or not. I work in pharmacy and even as a specials obtained item you won’t be able to get it. It’s simple enough from Biovea website but shipping is about 7 days. The sooner you order them the sooner you’ll be able to take them. Most people don’t seem to have had an issue with theBiovea from customs. Good luck! Xx

Did they give you a dose to take? Everyone’s is different. Mine was 75mg (I’m 30 and had 1 failed fresh ivf) x x

I am 42 with 2 failed fresh ivf, Had a bloodtest done and showed I have a low DHEA. They said to take 25 mg 3 times a day for 6 weeks. Hope it helps! x

Definitely! Did you change your protocol and/or drugs for your second/possible 3rd cycle? Yes definitely there’s no many success stories on here, I wanted longer on the dhea so I delayed my 2nd cycle took it for 9 weeks and my Meriofert was increased from 225 to 375 and I went from 3 eggs collected and 1 with a 5% chance making a semi blastocyst to 10 collected on Monday. You don’t need a prescription as far as I know , I live in UK and went with the USA website my fertility consultant gave me. Mine was from Biovea and didn’t have any trouble . Xx

They are an over the counter vitamin in the USA and are not a banned substance in Australia so it should be fine. I just came back from America and had DHEA in my carry on and luggage and it got through customs fine. It’s about $15 for a bottle of 300 tablets so worth a try!

What is the vitamin for?? Does it help improve egg quality?? I have Endo + very low amh .i have had every blood test possible but never heard of this supplement

Hi, yes it's supposed to help with egg quality and quantity but it is very controversial and it is adviced to check with with your doctor before using it. Here is a link with more info.
