Hi I had a heart shaped to an extent - I had a 2/3 septum dividing my uterus. I got my bfp on second round but sadly lost it for other reasons

Had to have some surgery and at the same time they attempted to resect the septum and now I am less heart shaped! more like a molar tooth! 🦷 good luck for your transfer xx

I’m sorry you lost it 😞 I had one misscarriage now trying ivf in August just worry about how separated my womb is they wouldn’t do an op on me they said could cause me to have a bleed will you be going through ivf again xxx

I am on my third round at the moment - had my transfer yesterday. I’ve had several MC since starting ttc ...Sorry you have too. They told me not to worry about heart shaped womb and a baby could easily survive in half a womb if it was heart shaped so hopefully it will be good news for you xx

Ahh I do hope it’s third time lucky for you 🙏🏻 It’s such an awful process to have to go through it’s unfair :( xx

Ps I see you also have a fibroid. I have about 5 - the largest is actually squashing my womb out of shape but they say a pregnancy will push the cavity out x

Yes a fibroid to which is causing the dip like yours ! It’s crazy how long were you trying for before ? I only found out I had this womb when I had scans xx

Spooky! Twins! They got confused when I had my tubes tested with dye and they could see it was a weird shape - that was after about 2 1/2 years ttc. I had had several gynae ops and no one had noticed before! Then when I had surgery for my latest MC the first time didn’t work so I had to have second surgery and asked them to use a camera and all of a sudden they could see what was going on! Ridiculous it takes us all so long to get the investigations we need, could have saved surgery, MC, IVF etc. Anyway they weren’t that worried and said it would just push out as the uterus grows xx

hello

I have a mild heart shaped womb; specifically I have a bicornuate uterus. I had an MRI to confirm it after they saw it on US and HSG. My doctor told I would definitely only be transferring one embryo, this was before we'd even gone down the IVF route! (currently mid-stims).

Seems quite common I

Mine is very heart shaped fibroid making it more ! They said big risk I will misscarry again through ivf but want to take the risk how long were you trying for ? How you getting on ? Xx

We have been trying for over two years. I have PCOS and due to that I don’t ovulate. The doctors have said they don’t think they will be any complication with my womb shape unless it’s a multiple pregnancy.

When I said mid stims I just meant I’m in the middle of stimming in my IVF protocol.

I hope you get some answers.

X

Did they worry about misscarriage? Do you have to have csection ? Xx

I only had a partial divide at the top which was nothing to worry about, a nurse explained mine was like slightly pushing down on the uterus from the top with your thumb! No they weren’t concerned about me and miscarriages etc and I don’t need a csection which is positive. When I first found out I was worrying about all sorts! X

Ahh that’s good news ! I will have to have c section have fibroid in between the middle of my womb unfortunately xx
