Tilted womb?

Can anyone give any advice or suggestions about the best ways to conceive with a tilted womb? Anyone else having issues similar to this? Having a recent smear and scan has been difficult enough! Thanks

Hi, I’ve also got a tilted womb but was told it wouldn't affect fertility. Would just make it a little more difficult to do scans etc.

Have a look into Mizan massage. My acupuncturist offers it as a solution to a tilted womb. I don’t know much about it.

Great thanks for that, I’ll ask my acupuncturist at my next appointment.

It’s a very specific massage that isn’t actually acupuncture so your acupuncturist peobabky won’t be trained in it if they haven’t mentioned it before. Maybe have a google. I can recommend someone on Manchester but you’re likely not local.

Thanks for clarifying. I’m based near Birmingham, but thanks for the offer of the recommendation. I e just googled it - sounds really interesting and have found someone near by. Thanks!

That’s great. I had a Mizan massage and it was very interesting. Mine was for general womb health as opposed to a tilted womb. She did ask me when I first met her if I had been told I had a tilted womb. She told me it’s very common and just mean your womb sits at an angle so you periods might not be as “clean” as they could be therefore the environment for the embryo might not be optimum. She seemed to imply it wasn’t a big deal and easily rectified.

Just a thought, i have jeez can't remember how they put it, erm wrong facing uterus retro something maybe. Really can't remember but it's pointing the wrong way. They picked up on it when i had smears etc and i did nothing about it.

I have severe endometriosis which is probably why its being pulled in the wrong direction (adhered to the internal organs) my right ovary is stuck behind the uterus and the left ovary had a mass on it so had to be removed.

Have a look at endometriosis symptoms and if any fit, seek help. I have relatively no symptoms but it severely affected my fertility.

Thank you for this. I have been told by one dr that I have PCOS but that I haven’t by another. One says I ovulate, another says I don’t - it’s so frustrating! No one has ever mentioned endometriosis, will look and see if I have any symptoms. They really struggled to find my ovaries on internal scans. Good luck with your journey

You start to think that they have no clue on "lady bit" business. Hardly any research done. Someone said if they'd like to direct at least 5% of the research time and money that they invest on crap like impotence we might get a better quality of life. Took me over 30 years to get diagnosed with endo because i just thought heavy periods etc were normal. Should've been picked up at 16! Hopefully more people including GPs starting to be informed even though it's chronic and no cure.

I'm at the end of my fertility journey with one ivf daughter (failed fet with our frostie on second attempt).

Good luck with yours x

I completely agree. When I was in my teens I started going to the dr because my periods would last for weeks and they pretty much told me it was impossible. No tests, no checks for anaemia, nothing. Took over 20 years for my pcos to be diagnosed. I hope it’s different now but women’s health just wasn’t/isnt taken seriously enough.

I have a tilted uterus and I had no issues concieving my daughter so I don't think it should affect anything xxxx

I have a tilted uterus too. Some days I'm easy to scan, other days not so much, however I do put that down to the skill of the nurses too.

I have endo, been diagnosed with mild but the ivf clinic said it was severe as not been able to conceive. I have constant pelvic aches and back aches. I'm convinced it's on my bowel too somewhere as I have symptoms of that.

Fertility massage is good for tilted uterus. Before I was doing it, they couldn't scan me well but now they dont mention my uterus being the wrong way. Check out castor oil and pillow case to do massage and only certain times of the month yo do it. If you do have endo, it'll help break it all up where it sticks. xxx
