I’m having a bit of a panic and need some peace of mind advice. I am on the first cycle, short protocol. All going very well. I am due to take my last cetrotide injection tomorrow morning (Saturday), then I trigger late Saturday night, then my collection is Monday morning. If I stop my cetrotide what stops me from ovulating before my collection? I did ask the nurse at my scan today if that was right and she said yes, I know I may just be looking for something to worry about. Did anybody else do something similar?

Last cetrotide 48 hours before collection
Hi. It should be fine. All dosages and timing are considered to allow a proper egg collection. The trigger is usually done approx. 36 hours before and the last cetrotide needs to be done some hours before that, as scheduled by the doctor.
Good luck! xx
Please don't panic! I had to take my last cetrotide about 6 hours before my trigger shot in the evening. I think it was a Weds night then I had my collection on Fri morning. All my eggs were collected successfully that morning. From what I understood you stop the cetrotide so that the trigger shot can mature the eggs. It's all in the timing. Your clinic would have calculated exactly when your collection will be so to not miss catching all the eggs before you ovulate. There is a window of opportunity and the eggs take a certain amount of time to mature anyway. So your eggs will stay put for now. Just follow your clinics advice on the time to take your trigger shot and stick to it. You won't go wrong if you do that. Good luck with it all and don't worry! I was a wreck and worried about everything but coming through the other side was the best feeling in the world!
Don't worry, this is the standard protocol!
Yeah that’s exactly what I did in my short protocol so don’t worry too much. Good luck with EC x
