Hello. I'm on clomid (5th cycle) and I ovulated (thanks to a trigger shot) on Wednesday last week. I'm now experiencing what feels like period pains, but it seems to early for that. Anyone had this during their 2 week wait? I'm conscious not to get excited by it and hope that it's a good sign but that is easier said than done! Any experience of this / advice is very welcome.

Clomid, 2ww and period pains?
Hi I’ve been on clomid for 3 cycles now. It’s our third time having medicated iui. We’re also on a 2ww. Personally I didn’t get any period like pains until a couple of days before my period. I suppose everyone is different. With my first iui I thought every little thing meant I could be pregnant. Now on the third cycle, I try to keep myself and my mind busy and try not to think about it too much (easier said then done) I meditate, go for walks, have tried colour therapy. They make things a little more bearable whilst waiting. I suppose there’s no way of telling at the moment for us. I wish you all the best. I have my fingers crossed for you xx
Hi JGR. It could be that your ovaries are being a bit active at the moment, seeing that you had a trigger shot this time. Try drinking some extra water, which sometimes helps. Good luck! Diane
I had what I thought was period cramping 12 days post ovulation & it was implantation cramps I couldn’t tell them apart! I also cramped 4 days post ovulation. I was on clomid (after my third surgery to treat endometriosis) my BFP is now a 19 day old little girl 😊 Wishing you the best & hope your cramps are a good sign 🤞🏻 Hope it’s a BFP for you 😊 xoxo
Thank you and congratulations x
Hi! I’ve been on Clomid myself, and I understand how every little symptom feels like it could mean something significant. I ordered it from this reliable pharmacy - topsup24.com/buy-clomid-uk...., the medication worked great. Period-like pains can be so confusing—they might just be a side effect of the medication or even early signs of implantation.
In my experience, I also had cramping and discomfort during my 2WW, and while it didn’t always mean success, I did learn to take it as a sign that my body was responding well to the treatment. It’s hard not to overthink every sensation, but try to stay hopeful while also managing expectations. Clomid has been a game-changer for me in improving ovulation, paired with progesterone support like Utrogestan.
Stay positive and take care of yourself during this time—sending you lots of baby dust! 🌟
