So it’s been a long and rough week since last weeks beta when I was told that it’s highly unlikely that the pregnancy will be viable and it’s likely that it would be a chemical pregnancy.
Fast forward to today when I had a repeat beta. My hcg is still increasing (not by much and very very slowly) but it’s still going up. I asked why and the nurse said she didn’t know just that they still think it’s a chemical and will retest Friday.
If it’s over and not going to bring us our baby, I just want it over. I need to bleed or have it confirmed that hcg has started to drop, anything to give us some sort of closure.
What happens on Friday if the number still hasn’t dropped? How long will this go on for? Has anyone had any similar circumstances?

Thank you lovely. I asked the nurse and she said she didn’t know. More waiting now xx
Hi not sure if this is the same I was 9w but the sac was abnormal and the pregnancy was tiny they couldn’t find it at first my hcg was about 17500 then after 4 days it was 23000 so kept rising slowly but we had to wait 2w to see if there was any growth incase basically they make a mistake. Sometimes they said it could be ectopic if it’s rising but nothing is seen so have to check and find the pregnancy.
Aww ajplus. I feel for you so much... I understand your feelings. I think at this point they are waiting to be able to do a scan to see what exactly is happening. I hope you get through this as fast as possible...
Thank you lovely. They haven’t mentioned anything about a scan yet. Just that they will retest beta on Friday. They’ve said I should start bleeding soon but that’s been over a week now since they’ve said that! Hopefully we get some answers on Friday
