Norethisterone = made me crazy

I don't know if any of you other ladies have experienced this but goodness! Norethisterone made me absolutely miserable. I was so depressed, I had awful night sweats, didn't ever get proper sleep and it took ages for my period to arrive. When it did arrive, it was totally different and hardly there. The sweats I had at night were so bad that I was drenched at times.

I know most people don't struggle with it but has anyone else had this experience?

Cycle was cancelled as I have a cyst so now I'm on Microgynon (I know it can do the same thing re depression) until it passes...

Me. I had norithisterone for one of my rounds. The round was abandoned and I had to wait 76 days for a period, during which I had hot flushes and all kinds of other symptoms. It was horrible. After 76 days, the next was 54, then 45. It took ages to recover x

I wish I knew more about this before I took it. I'll never take it again. Even my husband refuses for that to be prescribed to me.

Thank you. Things are better now that I'm not on it! Microgynon can also impact your mental health which I'm on now.

I hear you! My first cycle I did long protocol and I had this, it was terrible! It wasn’t the best of cycles for me, so the second cycle became short protocol thank goodness. Have also been battling cysts. I hear you. Fingers crossed the pill does the trick. Crossing my fingers for you!

Aw lovely, I feel your pain I hated having Norethisterone. Made me sweat, bloated like I was 6 months pregnant and very moody and upset.

I hope you are ok and wish you luck with your next cycle. I only used norethisterone for my 1st ivf and not on my 2nd. Good luck lovely xx
