After a long 5 years of IVF we got our first BFP tonight Yipee so happy.
We have been waiting for bloods to come back all day so its been nerve wrecking but well worth the wait... Still in complete shock and feel so amazing that this has really happened for us after all this time.
Does anyone know what these results mean?

Progesterone 90.5nmol/L are these okay????

Hey, I hope you are well. Congratulations on your BFP. I am so happy for you. The number is actually really good. Hoping for the best. I hope your pregnancy goes smoothly. Sending good wishes your way.
Thank you π Yes we have been trying to conceive for 4 and a half years and started our first round of ICSI in April. Everyone had been telling me it's really unlikely to happen on the first attempt, the clinic will be learning about your body etc etc. I was soooo shocked with the positive result. I still can't quite believe it!! π³
Argh bless ya, I was thinking of doing a test in the morning as it is my hubby's birthday and I have always wanted to give him a positive result for him to look at and glow...
Congratulations! Iβm sorry I donβt know what the results mean either but Iβm so happy for you that you are pregnant! Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy x
Congratulations!!!! Wishing you the very best for a very healthy next 9 months. Your numbers have me guessing you have twins :). Your progesterone is very high.
Hi BugsMommy, Thank you 9 months seems like a long way off at the moment, I am sure it will go quick. Yeah it could be twins I will see what my readings are next week??? Can not wait for scan. xx
Congratulations lovely! Can you explain what beta test is ppl keep talking about please? I have just had my first failed ivf but it was just measured by a bfn and then my period came. π I wish you all the luck and love for your pregnancy journey xx
Hi Bella, sorry to hear about your first round, it is hard when you first get going and you are dealing with the emotional roller coaster of IVF. Lwrs hope you have lots of baby dust and luck for your next one. The Beta HCG is the levels of the beta hcg hormone in your blood that are measured to determine pregnancy. Thank you for your response xx
Congratulations purplerain2000, that's amazing news. Wishing you all blessings. Were having icsi abroad next month. The first I've failed here in the UK. Any advice ladies? Is there anything I can do or shouldn't be doing?
Hi Reer, thank you for your blessings... Where abouts are you going for treatment?? I loved going abroad and would much prefer to cycle abroad as opposed to the UK. I think if you have a good rapport with your coordinator and ask as many questions as you need to, you cant go wrong. Make sure you don't go swimming (minimise risk of infection) and don't stay in the sun, especially if they put you on anti-biotics??? If you have any questions please just message me, I was really nervous before I went and so happy I did. Good luck xx
We are going to Greece towards the end of the month. I've placed my meds order, just awaiting my clinic to sign it off. Did you have yours in the UK?
Thanks for the advice il stay out of the pool and the sun. However it's meant to be quite hot in June. Were planning on going for 2 weeks, but I guess it all depends on how it goes.
Sorry to hear your news its a hard journey to embark on when you have constant disappointment. I went to Cyprus they were really good, please feel free to pm me if you need to know anything specific. Thanks xx
Hi congratulations! Can i ask how much was your ivf? What is the clinic called? And how come you transfered 3? Sorry for all the questions. Im about to start my ivf soon trying to conceive number 2 at 36.. x
Congratulations! π₯³ Mind sharing some health/dietary tips or what you think u did differently for this cycle that made it successful? It cld be helpful to us ladies who are still ttc.
Thank you Seha04. Absolutely so I had intra lipids prior to transfer and on the same day as transfer. I was also on steroids (prednisolone) and currently taking Clexane, baby aspirin and folic Acid. I also have been taking pre-conception supplements. Food wise, lots and lots of water at least 2 litres per day, high intake of protein and plenty of fruit & vegetables. I have been on decaff tea & coffee for years although I have had my naughty treats also, chocolate, cake and biscuits lol In my opinion if you are too strict with your diet it all becomes a drag... The main thing I did differently was treats, surprisingly I allowed myself sweet treats within reason and maybe it relaxed me I am not sure??? Hope this helps xx
Thanks Diane, it has always given me hope and inspiration in the past when I have read about other peoples BFP so hopefully after 5 years this will do the same. Thanks xx
Congratulations on your BFP. The numbers are great! I am very happy for you. Big chance you have twins on they're way!
Hi ladies needing abit of support as I feel so down at the minute waiting for my blood results to come round weβve had ICSI and transferred one embryo on board I feel like giving in and doing a test but Iβm trying not too my 4days past embryo transfer have you guys had any symptoms?
Hey Jess, I never tested until 3 days after the OTD because it was the bank holiday and I am so glad I waited. I had period like cramps and sore boobs although I thought I was going to come on. You never can tell or predict what is happening as everyone is different and you may get no symptoms and have a BFP and vice vera. Go with it and keep busy all the best xx
Hi there fellow ivfer, thank you sweetheart, I have been dreaming of this happening for so long and yes the wait has been so so long, so worth it though. Thank you for your happy vibes and kind words. xx
