Hi all, not sure if I’m on the right page but I’m just wondering if anyone has used sperm donations? I’m 20 and have been told if I want to have children it needs to be before I’m 25 due to endometriosis
Sperm donation : Hi all, not sure if I... - Fertility Network UK
Sperm donation
We are using a sperm donor due to my husband's azoospermie. PM me if you have any questions
What!! Endometeriosis doesn't give you a timeline for pregnancy... it's either you can have success with natural TTC or you cannot. I seriously think you need to reconsider the doc or clinic where you acquired this info. Or at least try to take a second opinion in the matter. Donor conception is not a problem but the condition you mention doesn't relate to donor conception as only solution.
I was told if I have any chance of conceiving it would be before I’m 25 after I had a diagnostic surgery. I’ve always wanted to have children and this is looking to be a good option
Diagnostic surgery? Are you sure you're using the terms exactly as they are in your medical records? As far as I know a diagnostic surgery is any incision, extraction or similar stuff that require minor surgery for diagnostic purpose.... like biopsy as confirmatory test. Well, I guess the statement is very generic... that if there's any chance it's by the time your turn 25. Don't we hear such "clock is ticking" things every now and then. TBH TTC success though related to age at some point but isn't really a dependent constraint. Sometime women simply get pregnant naturally at later stage... and there's also millions of case where young women like me who starts even before they turn 30 ends up struggling with infertility. Like I said, donor conception isn't the trouble really. The PP also told you write to her for more insights into the sperm donation procedure. But I have never heard any endometriosis patient is being told you have a timeline and beyond this timeline it might not be successful.
Hi I haven’t used sperm donation but I agree with Ambk comments. I have endo and have had for 15 odd years having had two laparoscopic surgeries to remove it. Age is never
Something that’s been given as a ttc issue it’s more whether you can conceive naturally. Hope your ok but your young I would recommend seeking some further opinion from a specialist xx
Hi Jess, definitely get a second opinion. I have endo and have had 4 natural pregnancies, although I miscarried them all - but that wasn’t because of the endo. I am 37 years old and my first pregnancy was when I was 33.
I also know other ladies who have had successful pregnancies post 25 who have endo.
If anything your doctor should be helping you clear the endo or manage it instead of putting that sort of fear in you hun x
I have as had ivf alone and had my tube removed etc... Message me if you want to ask questions. My son is 19 months old.. My friend was told she couldn't have kids, and recently had a baby at 41. Yes it maybe harder as, time ticks on but if you not ready don't rush xxxxx
Hi i yous a spam doner with my clinic in Greece as i am a single woman and i am 32 weeks and 4 days pregnant x
