Hi all, Iโve been having bother with my lining but today, at my third scan, it measured 7.2mm. The consultant said it looked great as she could see the three distinct layers. She said that she would advise to go ahead with FET next week. Iโm in shock as I thought your lining had to be over 8mm.
The consultant said that it looked fine to her but it is my choice. She said that by next week, it will have thickened more. I am now confused. During the appointment I was fully engaged and excited as she seemed happy that it has thickened. Now, Iโm not sure... ๐ฉ๐ฃ my hubby and I have had a fallout tonight about it as he believes we should go with what our consultant says and avoid looking up to many things online (which we are both guilty of!) I just donโt know what to do now for the best. Iโm mad at myself for doubting our consultantโs advice but Iโm too worried that my lining is not thick enough!
Advice would be greatly appreciated please, thanks
I nearly nearly turned myself into a nervous wreck keep looking at everything online so my husband and I decided we would go with what our consultant said with both our second and first, itโs so emotional and scary i decided to take the approach they know best and had to try and trust it, still didnโt stop me holding my breath the entire two week wait and much of my first pregnancy but my first one (IVF) is now nearly two and our second (FET) is due later this year so I really hope it works out for you xx
Mine was 7.5 at first scan. A week later at FET it was over 9mm. It grows faster than you think. And when you see the little white flash Iโm sure you will both forget about all the stress before hand xx
That's great news! My clinic's preference is over 9mm but some of us ladies will just never get that so anything over 7mm ( I usually just scrape this) with a good appearance, trilaminar (that's the most important bit as it shows receptivity) and they are happy! All sounding good. Oh and by the way by the point of transfer my lining has always been over 9mm. Good luck and try not to worry.xx
I had been struggling with a thin lining for a while. My Dr originally said she would like my lining to be 9 or 10mm before my FET. I was on Oestrogen tablets (still am), but it didnโt seem to make much difference. After reading a new study, she said it didnโt matter if the lining was just over or just under 7mm. She decided to go ahead with the transfer with my lining at 5mm. That was on the 29th of April. I got my BFP on the 13th of May and am due to have my first scan next Thursday. I wish you all the very best! ๐ x
My lining was just over 7.0mm (might have even been 7.2mm) and my FET a few days later was a success (an unmedicated cycle). I'm a proud mummy to a beautiful little boy.
I thought they advise over 7.0mm, but either way it was an improvement on the previous cycle where it had been at 6.5mm at the same stage.
It's your call but just wanted to tell you that was a good enough lining for me. Best of luck!
8mm is the optimum thickness. But your lining thickness is wonderful! Wish mine got to that. My was 3.8mm when I finally got pregnant, a miracle! Itโs more the quality than the thickness, that matters. Good luck.
Mine was 7.2mm a week before FET. She said it would need to be over 7mm at that scan to be able to go ahead with FET the following week. She said it will continue to thicken before they go the FET. I think you're good to go ahead ๐
