After what seems like an age we have finally got our date for FET next Tuesday, had a scan this morning and my lining measured 12mm. My question is can the lining be too thick? when i asked at the clinic what would be a good measure they said between 8-10mm so now i am panicking it could be too thick and i still have a week of progynova tablets before the transfer.....am i worrying about nothing?

Lining thickness for FET
I can't offer advice I'm afraid but am interested in the comments this will receive. Wishing you all the very best x
I’ve only ever had 1 fresh cycle, my lining measured at 11mm a week before transfer and I was also worried that there was such a thing as “too thick” .
I spent a lot of time googling this and also asked my consultant about it and a thicker lining is better. I also found this table from an American study of over 2000 pregnancies which shows that a thickness of 11-12mm can have a 10% higher chance of pregnancy than a 7mm lining.

thank you that is so reassuring, i decided to call the clinic and they said not to worry and that everything was looking good xx
Hi,
I’m about to have my FET this month. Do you mind me asking how many scans you have needed?
I have a scan booked in for next Friday, my day 12. I guess I’ll need another in between that and transfer and then it’ll be the transfer.
I’m just wondering if it’s the same for everyone doing a natural cycle.

Hiya,
I am doing a medicated FET so not sure if it would be the same but I have had one scan on day 14 where they measured the thickness at 12mm. The clinic was happy with how everything looked and so booked me in for FET on day 22 which is the 16th April, sent me away with the necessary progesterone drugs and a pregnancy test and told me to ring after the transfer had been completed, so I had just one scan in total.
Lots of luck with everything xx
