Group Session - IVF Info 08/07/19 Birmingham Women's Hospital

Hello All

I've been feeling so down lately and couldn't see an end in sight. All changed as we had a letter through the post yesterday on what would of been my Nans birthday, saying we have been accepted for funding for 1 Round of IVF with Drugs and 12 months freezing for any left over eggs. I'm now over the moon, this journey is an emotional rollercoaster and ladies I take my hat off to you all!

We have a group session at Birmingham Women's Hospital. Has anyone attended one of these? What can I expect?

Hey,I’m happy for u to be accepted. It’s great news :). I haven’t been to any group session. I also live in Birmingham and we were waiting for our letter to have group session but the wait was very long. We went private instead. I hope all works out for u 😀

Hello! I went to a group session at a different hospital but there might be similarities. It was basically presentations from a doctor, nurse and embryologist taking you through the whole process. Very interesting and the science is awe-inspiring really. Made me feel more excited about the process because of how amazing it is! Good luck xxx

Thank you very much you've reassured me abit. I was excited and nervous. It is really amazing what they can do. I just hope it's not to long after this they start the actual IVF x
