VERY bloated on Buserelin...

Hi guys,

Has anyone else had really bad bloating with buserelin? My stomach is huge! I am due a bleed fairly soon in next four days but my boobs are bigger and really sore as well. My stomach is something else though. Fair enough my eating habits haven't been the best but I'm going to the toilet, eating veg and stuff and exercising a lot. It just seems very strange as is doesn't say bloating is a side effect on the sheet? X

Thanks for your reply! I was worrying a bit to be honest as I couldn't see it was a side effect anywhere! I think I'm the same I'm due my bleed quite soon, plus my boobs are so sore it's horrible! Just want this part over with! X

It’s been a long time but I looked 5 months pregnant on Buserelin. It was ridiculous and especially in the evening. It does go but it takes a while I’m afraid. xxx

Thanks for replying. I just worry because I'm watching my weight and doing exercise and still feel like I have gained weight! It's a bit of a pressure spiral isn't it! I hope you're okay too x

Thank you. Yeah it can be really demotivating when you’re trying so hard to look after yourself. It’s like a cruel joke really, looking pregnant when you do desperately want to be pregnant. We moved on from IVF a couple of years ago so I’m ok actually. We’re in the very early stages of looking at adoption. We’ll see. Good luck with your cycle. I hope it works out. x

Thanks for replying. Yes it is all like a very cruel joke. My older sister rang me the other day- the sister who convinced us all she wasn't worried about having children- to tell me she was six weeks pregnant. We've been trying for four years or more and feeling like I have kept letting my parents down after having miscarriage after miscarriage and then an ectopic pregnancy and now she's going to announce their first grandchild on my Dad's retirement weekend this May bank holiday. I know it's not fair to say but I feel a bit weird about it all. She had her coil removed in January and bam first month of trying after recommended time and she's pregnant. My parents have been looking to move as well and they said before if we didn't have kids they'd probably move back to where they initially came from but wouldn't if we eventually did. Now I'm worried they are going to move near my sister and her husband (5 hours away!). Sorry to say all this you're probably wondering wow I wish I hadn't replied now xx

Not at all. It’s such an emotional time. I benefited from my sister being 10 years older than me. What will be hard is when my nieces have children. It does feel hard with your family. It feels like you’re letting them down. I get that. You just need to vent on here as we will all be understanding. We get it. The frustration, the unfairness and the despair. Even though we’ve moved on, it still hurts when things happen or are said. It does get easier but never truly goes away. I’m hoping that moving on with adoption will help and give us the new focus we’re looking for now we’ve closed the door on having our own. I will be hoping that you still get your goal though! Perhaps you could gently tell your parents how you feel about what they said about moving. I would be incredibly hurt if they had said that to me. They probably didn’t realise how it sounded. xxx

I have just been having ginger or peppermint tea. Herbal tea helps a little. Have just noticed this was written 12 months ago. Do you have any advice and how did the process go xx? xx

I started by medication 15 days ago. I started my bleed late, it is very heavy plus like you say I am very bloated, especially after eating and my breasts were tender / heavy until I had my bleed. I believe your symptoms are normal, I called my clinic and they said it is completely normal xx
