The clinics will advise on treatment protocols that you should be doing dependent on you bloods results and test results so I wouldnt worry too much about that side of things, you dont really choose as such. Im not sure if you have specific protocol questions but if you do then perhaps clarify in your post. You might find it helpful to ask for private messages for clinic recommendations in you aread if you want to add roughly where you live?!xx
Sorry to hear you had an unsuccessful round 😔. It really is a numbers game but have you had a follow up consultation to understand if there’s any specific reason it didn’t work? This can be useful to inform your next treatment protocol if there’s something they can pinpoint.
The world of IVF is a minefield! We’ve always stayed with the same clinic we started at on the NHS. We signed up to a refund package with Access Fertility and are currently going through round 3 of a 3 cycle package. That might be something to consider? If this fails we should (hopefully!) get a partial refund, and we then plan on using that money towards a round out in Greece. I can send you the details of the clinic we’ve been looking at via PM if you’re interested. Overseas clinics are a much more cost effective option, but are also subject to different regulations so there’s that to consider. If you look on the fertility forums people give useful accounts of their experiences.
Overall when comparing clinics, a good tip I heard is to look at their success rates with donor eggs. This puts them on a more level playing field by eliminating the variances due to restrictive criteria on who they will treat (if they don’t accept older patients for example, it will clearly skew the success rates). As all donor eggs should have a similar success rate, it’s more likely that variances are down to that clinic’s protocols etc.
Good luck with your next round xx
I am sorry to read that treatment didn't work for you. I would recommend considering IVF in Europe, particularly in Poland, Czech, Ukraine or Russia. I have no dir experiences, but know a few ladies who paid EUR2,500 for IVF with meds and had 1st time success with top IVF clinics in Gdansk and Lviv. Some of clinic have prices on their websites, but you might also mail them to find more about treatment, options and prices. Good luck
