Frozen egg transfer coming up!

Hey everyone,

We have our first frozen cycle coming up over the next month. Starting my medication on the 14th of this month with Suprecur injections. Got significantly more medication this time than before. Got to take Crinone, Progynova, Cyclogest and Suprecur! Eep! Worrying it's going to mess up my emotions quite a bit as there's a lot of oestrogen going in! I work in a school and my boss is simply amazing I have spoken to her about it all as I will need a day off for transfer and have to travel an hour plus for a scan so will need time off. Anyone had these medications before? I know we all react different but any frozen transfer advice would be much appreciated. Also a little worried about the 10% rate of unsuccessful thawing of embies! Thanks in advance :) xxx

I'll be interested to see the replies, I'm having my first FET next month and will be using some of those medications myself. Would also like to know what to expect.

How are you feeling about it? I keep googling statistics as I heard a while ago on the news that frozen transfers are doing well but I think it's more for women who are 35 years and older x

I'm pretty excited to get going but also terrified of anything going wrong after our fresh cycle ended in MC. Think I'm just worried about everything! I also read that frozen transfers can be highly successful for some women, so I'll keep my fingers crossed. I'm also apprehensive about the different meds, I've never taken Progynova before and have read it can be quite bad for side effects. How about you? Feeling good?

I found progynova fine, it really didn't bother me at all. The progesterone (utrogest) made me really impatient and angry (and ravenous) but my body got used to it after a few days and it settled. Best of luck, and don't worry too much, even if the hormones send you a bit loopy just remember it's temporary!! xxx

I'm in the same boat but hopefully have the fet Tomo. I've been on everything but crinone. I've been awful with my moods, have cried for the daftest things, but DH head off for anything minor and just felt shitty lol fingers crossed it goes to plan and my embie defrosts Tomo xx sending you lots of luck xx

Progynova has made me cranky, weepy and nauseous! Lutigest makes me dizzy, headache and crampy! Not sure about the others as I’ve only been prescribed these two. But the end goal is always in sight, I’d put up with a multitude of side effects if it means my FET has worked this time 👌As for the defrost, nerve wracking time but the technology is so advanced now, mine thawed at 100% and actually improved by a grade just before transfer 😊 good luck!

Hello ladies. I'm having Progynova, Vit "E", folic acid and Metipred. It is my 2nd ICSI cycle with DE and I full of strength, though my first one with OE was extremely different. I was exhausted and anxious. I took a big break after that cycle and decided to try again only 5 years later. Every case is particular so go ahead and don't be afraid!

xx
